I just heard about this today on CNN, then looked it up and found they are thinking about implementing it in my province already. Personally I think it would be SWEET!

That's how my job is. I work four 10 hour shifts a week.

...really, after a while, it gets tiring having to cram all of your social time into three days, but if more people were doing it...hm.

I used to do four day weeks with 10 hours shifts. I actually liked it more than normal five day weeks with eight hour shifts.

I hope I get a good timed job in the next month. My current job this year has been basically freelance. I get a call whenever and I go and do my stuff. No ...no whoring, plan designs ect.

I meant my day job...the sig is about the ungodly hours.

I wonder if they'll ever bring in anything like the shortened days here. I truly doubt it, they're trying to reintroduce 3rd Level Education fees, basically cos (we all know it) they can stop those 'less off' from furthering their education. Asswipes.

Thats the opposite of here. In my country, if your parents are poor, you get a free student allowance while you study. Meanwhile, because both my parents work we are above the poor line for that handout, so I don't get it even if my parent are not supporting me while I study.

Its bullshit.

Yeah it's kinda like that here, but fees aren't introduced for anyone. Except entrance fees...which are paid for if you reach the criteria. And because your parents earn s much, even a single parent, you get shit grant money (if you're lucy to get any).
So they want to take a means of getting through 3rd Lv Education financially and instead of bettering it for everyonein a fair and proper sustainable manner...they want to wipe it away and see that only the rich and elite can get an education.
That's complete bullshit alright. I'm in England now and have to pay tution fees and get no grant even though I'm a foreign student there.
But I have people close to me that will probably end up studying here at home in Ireland in the future and no doubt if this new system is implemented it'll effect them greatly...cos surprisingly we ain't rich.

They will be if they get this thing running. So many politicians are against it apparently. It'll mean a bleak day for Irelands educatin system, when we need to give everyone the chance they deserve to obtain a future they want.

Yep, the fees are harsh here. Not just the fees though, you can get a student loan for the living and stuff.

A new graduate these days expects to have about £10,000 debt. I knew some a couple of years ago with £14,000.
