You people sound like you've been all around the world, while I haven't.
![]() Greece. Turkey. Norway. France. Spain. Italy. Panama. Canada. What did they all have in common? They didn't have anything I needed, that's what. "Culture"? The United States houses every single ethnic group on the planet. Why do I need to go to Poland to see what they're about, when there are 100 of them living right down the block? And as far as any kind of nature goes, you won't find a more inclusive place: Oceans. We have two of them. Lakes. We have the "Great" ones. Rivers. We have the third-longest in the world, and dozens more. Volcanic islands. Visit Hawaii. Glaciers. Visit Alaska. Deserts. We have a huge one in the southwest. Forests. Thousands of square miles in the northwest. Mountains. Not one, but two major continental ranges. Beaches. Thousands of miles of it. Canyons. The "Grand" is here. Wildlife. With every climate type ranging from polar to tropical, the U.S. offers a staggering variety of both animal and plant life. Plains. Thousands of square miles of it, populated by free-range cattle. Nothing but open space and beef in the northern center of the country. Living here I can see pretty much anything I would ever want to, do just about any activity that I can dream up, interact with any "culture" I choose. |

It's not always about being necessary or to buy something you want or need. Travelling different countries can be great experience for you. Try this in future when you have time and money. Take some time off; let's say few months. Fly to Africa or southeastern Asia and travel there from town to another and country to another using cheapest possible travelling methods. Avoid tourist traps and relax. Take some time to explore the country and it's culture and don't rush things. After few months (that being minimum), when you return home, you are like a new man. You can't experience anything like that in America. And actually, it's not that expensive than you might think. I've planned to do a trip like this in about five years.

Yeah, interacting with migrant cultures is definitely not the same as staying in a single country for a prolonged period of time. You don't get the feeling of the Australian or Spanish way of life because you've met 3 people from Spain or Australia. Definitely not the same.
And in terms of locations and scenery and activities, there are countries that have many different things to the US. The US is by no means the most beautiful place I've ever been to. It's probably not even on my top 5. Granted there are some places that are simply stunning in the US. Culture is not just about talking to another ethnic background or eating the food it's much, much more. EDIT: Quote:

Damn Brits and their Scousers, all we have are brain-dead Nackers who just wear tracksuits and Nike Air-Maxes and look generally ignorant of brain usage. Also we have D4s, the most annoying and snobbish little fuckers in the world. All the girls have orange skin and are generally whores, guys are rugby fanatics, get to the best schools in Dublin. Also, despite being some of them being ugliest SOBs around, girls SWARM around them.
