Yeah it's done.

But yeah, people's subconscious affects their actions all the time, and people aren't even aware of it. Automatic processing, I'm doing it for my coursework. The first time you learn to drive a car, you have to process information hard, like changing gear or using indicators to turn. After a while, it becomes automatic because it's rehearsed as LTM into your subsconscious.

There's also the unconscious, which is where all the 'bad' stuff goes that your mind is trying to protect you from.

I'll say this much, I ain't into the Freudian stuff. I don't even used the coined phrases. Just because a man said this and that about the human mind doesn't make it true. No one is telepathic...plenty of psychopathic people though ^_^

Hey neither am I, most of Freud's stuff is really weird. Like saying girls are jealous of their dads because they have a penis, or that boys secretly fancy their mums or whatever.

But everyone's subconscious affects their actions, it's clear. And you don't even need a weird psychologist to tell you that. It's not a strange concept, it's 'there'.

It's also been tested on people and confirmed.

It doesn't really need confirming, people do things without realizing it all the time. Either because of social peer pressure, adapting to a person's schema of things, or trying to reduce anxiety... it's there.

I think it's more a deep seated love and admiration for their fathers, nor straight incest. It sort of guides women towards what they prefer in a man, as they compare him to their father's qualities they loved and usually end up with someone similar to him.

It's freaky though, I'll give you that.
