Oops, wrong car!

OK, this is actually about me asking if anyone every tried to open a car, only to realize it's not yours? Me and some coworkers did this once when we went to McDonalds, it was funny but surprising at the same time. Anyone else experience this? If so what happened? I'm sure it happens more when someone else has the exact same type of car as someone else.

One of my friends has a car with a similar body style, but it is the same color. I've actually opened his car door and sat down inside of his car.

Me and my grandmother were sitting in a car when I was really young and some old man came wobbling over, trying to get into the car. Tried to put his keys in and everything. What made me lol was that he never saw us in the car. Funny old guy.

I tried opening a car once and got worried when it wouldn't open. Then I saw my own car and a friend standing a few spots over ;(

I steal cars, they ain't even identical to mine.

But srsly, it happened to me too. I went to a car that looked like my mates, and tried to open the back door (he said it was unlocked). Wrong car, it was locked, I was really trying to get that door open. Then it struck me.

Casually walked away, is what I did.

One of my friends did it outside of a Tescos. He saw what he thought was his friends care driving away, thought "cheeky fucker" and ran to jump in the car. He ran alongside it, wrenched the door open and this guy in the front seat just turned and screamed at him

This happened to me not so long time ago.

I was at McDonald's drive in, when someone completely unknown guy rushes in my car at the backseat. He starts to explain some weird story (I can't remember what) and tries to find something from his bagpack. Then he asks me, why I am so quiet and looks at me. Few seconds silence, he mumbles something about a wrong car and runs away.

My dad owns a used car lot, so he changed cars about once a week, to make sure all the new cars run good and everything...... Well, all the time we will be walking out of the store and I go off to car that's similar to the one he was driving last week..... My dad is used to it, he just ignores me and keeps walking.

I've mistaken a car for mine, but I've never got close enough to open it without realizing that it wasn't mine.

Lol, I ... did something like that a few years back. My parents asked me to go an open the car, because they had to carry something (I dunno) from a DIY store ... so, sure, went over to the silver Volvo in the car park, put the keys in ... wouldn't work. Went back to my parents and told them so, so dad took me to the car (left whatever it was they were carrying behind) put the keys in, and unlocked the car ... wasn't until after that I realised the difference in license plates between the two cars, and the fact that the Volvo I'd tried to open was at least 20 spaces away ...

I did the same recently - ya won't believe how many blue Galaxies there are out there ...
