The thing is, we've always known that these things are bigger than us. What makes a difference is how big you choose to make your world, and how large your perceptions are. Some people are very self-centred because their world is focused on themselves and constant reminders of how small they really are comes as a huge shock to the system for them.

Pretty interesting. I mean I knew that sun is nothing compared to stars far away, but it looks pretty terrifying when you look it in that way.

I don't see any reason why not? Does it have to be life as we define it? Does it even have to be anything that we understand as life? Would be recognise it? It might have evolved to live under the ice, or in boiling hot heat. Life is abundant.

The interesting part is how big the stars are compared to the sun, not just how big they are.
