If I wake up after falling asleep, I can't get back to sleep until the next night. Which is really annoying since it happens a lot...

That aside, there's not really anything, aside from finding it hard to get to sleep, or waking up too early too easily.

My work schedule is exclusively third shift, so not waking up until 3 or 4 in the afternoon has become almost a natural thing for me. Of course, then again, I don't go to bed until 7 or 8 in the morning.

It is weird falling asleep just when the sun is coming up, and occasionally if I overslept the previous day, I don't go to bed until noon to 2 in the afternoon.

I don't see a problem with having an "unnatural" life style like myself, but you really need to try and keep a consistent sleep schedule for it to work out effectively simply because the human body is built for sleeping at night, not during the day when the sun is out. I've been doing exclusively third shift for almost a year and a half, and even though I usually get my full eight hours, I feel much better rested when I sleep at night. But then again, I also feel rested when it's cloudy or rainy out for the entire day.

The longest I've ever slept is 16 and a 1/2 hours; that's over twice what's recommended. I've done that several times, and of course by that time I've slept so long that I'm extremely groggy, and it takes almost 5 hours for the numbness to subside and my body to feel fully functional. To oversleep isn't always good either.

The longest I've ever stayed up is 43 hours. By that time I was starting to have minor hillucinations, so I decided that it was time to hit the sack.

One of the things I tried when I was in NC was doing nothing in my room but sleeping. If all you do is sleep in your room and don't study or watch tv in your sleeping room then you can just drop dead whenever you feel like it. But now the I have a laptop and it's connected in my room and I also read down here so meh...but I don't find it too bothersome right now. Mainly when I wake up then it's a bitch falling back to sleep. Nice to hear people's thoughts on this.

I have perfect sleep. I get at least 8 hours, unless I feel like staying up. I've never restless, I can go to sleep easily, I can sleep until I need to wake up.

The only thing I have is that there can be no lights whatsoever. I sleep in the pitch black.

Ah, yes, I like sleeping in perfect darkness aswell, its so relaxing.

You can just think. Its lovely. It blurs the line between being asleep and awake.

When i was alot younger my sleeping pattern sucked, couldnt get to sleep at night, was usually awake at 5am and then getting up at 7am...was always tired.

When my kid was born it gave me good sleeping patterns, shes 4 now she'll uausully drop off to spleep around 7-8.30pm and then by 10 or so im usually out of it aswell. I sleep right up to 6.30 which is when my daughter comes and wakes me up for the day.

So yeah, sleeps not to bad for me nowadays :)

That's interesting, she doesn't wake up in the middle of the night? Most parents complain of that.

It takes me about 10-15 mins to get to sleep usually. I sleep about 7 hours a day on weekdays and 9 on weekends.
