I'm thinking they're sparkles of light from the camera flash that reflected off of some clear pieces of hail. I took several photos, though, and that's the only one with colored dots in it.

Maybe. If you take a picture against glass,during a storm, that type of thing is common.

Three tornadoes in the last month, actually. All were pretty close calls.

The last three warnings we had, they touched down in areas that were minutes away. Sky turned greenish, it hailed like crazy, power went out, back-and-forth horizontal rain, sirens in the distance.

Its kind of funny that countries where tornados are common rarely have basements, while countries where tornados never happen (ok next to never, clima is changing radipidly) have solid conrete walls and basements.
