So peeps, I want to share a story of what happened last night.


For those of you don't know, on weekends I do security for a few nightclubs out in Brisbane. It's pretty decent pay for a student and although I'm pretty much over giving up my weekends, it keeps me from spending my money out on the town. Anyways, we recently started working at this new joint at West End: The Melbourne Hotel.

Anyhoo's, personally I'm little indifferent to the place. The crowds are pretty boring, but I guess that is because it's only just opened.

Enough crap, I'll get to the story. At about 8pm, 2 hours into my shift I saw this flash car rock up. Initially I thought it was a lamborghini, but it ended up being an Audi. The two fella's (who looked real underbelly [aussies know what I'm saying]) decided to come into the venue. After a quick browse, they decided it wasn't for them and went somewhere else. The gave me $20 to watch their car for them. Everything went smooth and they came back around 10pm and went home or out.

I myself had plans to go out that night.. The Melbourne closes before lockout and I usually have time sneak out for a cruise on the town. My cousin was out so I was keen. But at 11pm the wanker who employs me (I will never call him boss) told me I had to go to another venue. One that closes at 3am. I was farkin dirty. But I went, carried out my shift. I was out by about 3:30am, and at that point the Casino is the only thing open. I decide to go in for a beer and a brief punt before I head home. I grab a Carlton Draught and head towards the pokies. Immediately, I spot this machine with a Harlequinn (Joker's on again/off again girlfriend is called Harley Quinn) on it and I instantly take that as an omen. I throw my $20 dollars in and press the button. $4 a single bet! I instantly thought this was a bad choice. I toggled it down to $2 and then $1 per bet. I've had about 4 spins and I win $150.

Now, I'm certainly no gambler. I may have a punt 5 times a year, and I must say... I've won alot more than I've lost. I got to the casino at about 3:30am and was out at 3:45am. I may be one of Fortune's Favorites, but I'm not gonna push it hehe..

My old man and lil bro were at the casino last night. Was gonna go, but ended up just drinking with some mates at the local due to being too tired.
Nice work on the win, always good to win some money on the slots. Most of the machines there are $1 spins though, they have some normal ones hidden away somewhere.

Bleh, Pokies are evil. Fucking evil I tell you.
I would recommend playing a man's game like Poker Bonus but I guess if ya don't play that often the pokies are the way to go.
