I think we need a Monster?

Ok this sounds weird and yes a little bit funny but I think we need a monster.

I think our world needs some type of abrupt social change. We are heading into an era of no freedom. Everyone is worried about something. You can get in trouble for doing or saying anything and nothing. A friend of mine got sent to court for threatening some minor. Keep in mind my friend just turned 18 and is really wealthy and at the time he didn't even know the kid who was making the claim. They went to the same high school but were 4 years apart. The case was thrown out but he had to pay for a fuckin lawyer! This kid was obviously poor and had nothing better to do. Needless to say you can get in some shit for doing nothing. Then you have the whole sexual harrasment getting way out of hand. You can barely address a women let alone talk like a guy to your male work friends without offending someone! Plus you got the kids today growing up with all this power. You can't go near them without some type of law suit hanging over your head. Their own parents are just as worried. The you have diseases running wild, war on terror, war on drugs, war on religion, war on war, the American economy is suffering, and so on and so on!!!

Sorry for the rant but there are even more things that cause us all to make life a living hell. What if hell just decided to surface? I think it would bring a great social change. I think some crazy Cloverfield monster should surface and destroy a bunch of shit and reek havoc! Next day at work you can stand up and say fuck this shit my job sucks, slap the nearest girl on the ass, run outside kick some kid of his bike, steal his twisty cone, go home and play with your guns. You know what would happen? NOTHING! Because everyone is focused on one thing... a giant fuckin monster! There would be no need to worry about all these stupid little things if the sky just decided to open up. We could resort to the most basic form of survival. Hell we might even all band together as not just a country but a "WORLD" and take down this giant mother fuckin monster!

I know this sounds ridiculous but I thought I'd share with you what was on mind today. Feel free to discuss. Take it seriously or just laugh at the idea of a Monster making us better people. I did

You singling out America out is just stupid. When that monster hits your country you will wish we were there cleaning that thing up for you. You don't mind taking our money either.

When I entered this thread, I thought you were referring to the manga Monster, which would actually provide an excellent example of your views. Therefore, my opinion of you rose significantly, and I was even ready to hit the forbidden Reputation button.

Then I started reading the crap about real monsters, and am now tempted to strike with negative reputation for such idiocy.

Do you honestly believe a giant dragon terrorizing the Earth would have any positive effect on anything?

I'm not quite sure you even saw the humor in this thread. To strike me with negative rep would be unjust. It's merely a funny opinion. I was thinking about it and made me and my friends laugh. I felt like sharing it with you guys. So whatever call me an idiot for thinking the way i do. I am a creative person. I'm not book smart. I have common sense and I know this would be a horrible thing. To me it seems book smart people have neither a sense of humor nor common sense.
