I don't lie to people. I omit.

I even omit to myself. As in I can literally be completely unaware of how I actually feel at times, cause I focus so highly on the logical and intellecual aspects of my own thinking. So I can tell people I'm doing really well and coping fine when I'm actually really in the dumps and on the verge of breakdown, without even realising I've lied. Without even being aware that my answer could have been anything but the truth.

Until the hindsight kicks in.

Well I often lie in Real life if I have to save my self from something, sometimes I just lie for nothing. then afterwards I think why did I do that?

Online I never lie.

I used to lie all the time. Now, however, I very very rarely lie. I see no point anymore. I've almost entirely brroken the habit of telling people what they wish to hear as they've pissed me off beyond the point of tollerance.

I once tried being "brutally honest" with absolutely everyone regarding everything but stopped because my loved ones felt I was being too harsh. Nowadays I see the middle ground between habitual lying and brutal honesty. But like you I could care less what people want to hear and I still tend to be straightforward.

Also, lying on the internet is pointless and shows your hopeless sinking into the abyss (you can't even tell the truth when others can't see you).

No one who claims to be "brutally honest" actually is. I've never met anyone who wouldn't lie to their boyfriend/girlfriend to get something out of them.

I often tell the truth in real life, but sweeten things a little with a small lie, depending on the person or situation.

Online I never lie, it's pointless. Although, I could be a 9 year old female from Nigeria. You'd never know.

I lie so much.
It makes life....more interesting.
I lie about anything that will make me look like I'm doing more than I actually do.
But I have to admit that I'm honest.
It's so hard for me to let something happen or prevent something from happening that I find to be immoral.
I may be a HUGE lier, but I have principles....which may or may not be lies themselves

Or to avoid upsetting them. Not all lies are told for 1 person's own gain.

I have not lied very often at all. I will casually leave out anything offensive, O r try to completely rephrase unpleasant things to make them seem either not so bad or just as bad but coming from a such a good place that generally it is looked at as an attempt to help. I am by no means brutally honest mind you just enough to keep everything the way I like it to be....manipulative yes, but everyone stays happy & none the wiser.

I do not lie. Lieing is solely for preserving another's feelings from the truth. Honesty is the leg that will kick when they are down.
