I instantly thought what if they instead of creating a black hole created a star that gradually fully developed & possibly goes nova, I gues that would make global warming a larger threat @ least until the planet is enveloped in 100,000,000 degree gases & particles anyway. If they could manage to contain it & study it maybe it could be used for power & people wouldn't need to pay nearly 4 bucks \gallon of gas. wishful thing I know
