Lol, for a second there, I thought you said a kid who beat his dad... My one was much funnier.

As for the child thing, there's a difference between spanking a kid and actually beating one. There's nothing wrong with spanking a child.

Sometimes kids need to get a good old ass whoopin'. The kids around here curse and talk crap to adults because they never got beat. Now watch the cycle go round and round. Kids need discipline and besides the beating hardly means anything alone. It's the SIGNIFICANCE of it that matters, the "why" for what they got beat for. So that the kid knows they can't be doing bad things and get away with it. When people grow up not knowing there are consequences for their actions, well it creates problems galore. Sometimes kids need an ass whipping and not a spanking but I don't believe in abusing children. By beating I mean a switch to the ass and not a soft patty cake tap instead. Kids today act like they have no class whatsoever, kind of shows where the world is going. Of course this isn't within proper household structures but it's still a large problem throughout this country. Are there no boundaries within our society for young kids these days? Banning whooping and disciplining kids can do no good, especially since a lot of parents already don't do shit about their kids. Then what happens to the good parent that was properly training their child? Take it as you will.

Since when was 'patty cake tapping' equated with the word "spanking"? I don't know what kind of house you grew up in, but for me, when it was spankin' time, it was when daddy bent his half inch thick leather belt double and dual handedly swung like he was aiming at a pro-baseball pitch. Repeatedly. It was rare that I made the same mistake twice, and when I did, my bottom didn't look forward to the recompense.
Vivi, it's a word used for corporal punishment as well. I don't think Raven is saying that he wants to punch around his children to teach them manners. All my life I've heard the word "Beatin'" used as an equal substitute for spanking.

You have to do some pretty hard armed blows with something a little more sturdy than a belt to bruise a tush, man. I've never seen or received any spanking that did more than sting pretty and be sore for an hour, maybe two, tops. And those were the ones that were delivered fairly sturdily. Everything else fades in a matter of minutes. Even in high school when the shop kids made aerodynamic paddles and the shop teacher broke it over something or another's rear, it didn't do much more than make him jump around for a few minutes.

I have been told by people that I have A.D.H.D. (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Apparently because I act all hypo in class and shit and i'm always moving and not listening. Apparently I need to take pills...
Lmao. It's the way I choose to be. It's not a disorder!

I lol'd ^
But on a serious note, I gave private lessons to children who either had ADD and/or dyslexia and they were mostly ashamed of it. And they never tried to get an advantage from it, quite the contrary most of them were too proud to take the dyslexia bonus you get in school.

Most people who have A.D.D. usually just grow out of it.
Otherwise they will be put in special classes and such, if it is really bad, but they usually have other problems too. I know a girl who has A.D.D. and it does not seem to bother her like at all, as a matter of fact she seems to enjoy it.
