In my eyes people do have it and it's a problem. About the excuses...they come like assholes, everyone has one. It's easy to make an excuse, thus people will often make excuses to squeeze out of tight situations. Some things you can work through and sometimes you can't, every situation is stand alone. We can't just treat people with disorders like they don't have them because a bunch of people make excuses. They need special attention at times but as long as people are treated fairly (per individual's case) then everything will work out. Children should be pushed to push themselves and they should know there's no limit to what they can achieve. Now don't go getting me started because I will. :p

As for the ADD topic, I think it's bad disorder. I have trouble concentrating myself, but it's probably a lot worse for other people if they have to name a disorder for it. But then you get people that are just plain lazy and are looking for an excuse. >_>
