Worst movies of all time.

I didn't put this thread in the "Television/Movies" section because, let's be honest, barely anyone checks over there, and I wanted to hear some opinions. My personal nominations would be:

When a Stranger Calls- No plot whatsoever; only static characters, no one develops; terrible, disappointing ending; if you've seen this movie, there is no more that can be said.

The Covenant- Obviously tried to get some money on that particular new genre of movies about the occult and the paranormal; the characters are bland; the plot/special powers are really weird and unoriginal; this movie is just lame, and boring.

The Dewey Cox Story- What the hell can I say?; not only is it offensive (being a Cash fan, the first scene was wrong) but it's not funny; I'll be honest and say, I didn't watch the whole thing, but I didn't need to; this will not be remembered as a piece of American film, and if it does, our future is going to hate us.

E.T. I fucking hate that movie and even more so because everyone seems to love it.

Scary Movie all of them are just bad. The jokes are so lame and forseeable. Seriously when I watched the first one and I could always tell which lame joke they'd pull next. Every sodding time.

War of the Worlds the ending ruined it and it started out so well. What the hell were they thinking when they wrote this pathetic crappy ending?!

The Day After Tomorrow It's so full of American patritism, it almost made me puke.

Lisa, War of the Worlds wasn't written by some American producer. It was a novel by H.G. Wells, who was a Sci-Fi genius. And I think you got the wrong idea about The Day After Tomorrow.

I'd say those two reviews are more co-signed with your opinion than those of my own but neither one of them is great to me (unlike the likes of movies like Predator, Alien, Terminator, etc...great works of sci-fi). I enjoyed the movies and minimally they are enjoyable but maybe something significant was just missing from the plot. =/

I didn't think The Day After Tomorrow was that bad. Besides, they got the water overflowing city idea right, it is what would happen. Imagine the states as a bowl in a sink with a stopper in it. Keep pouring the water in the sink and eventually it'll go into the bowl. Maybe a bit off but everyone here can comprehend the example.

by far the worst movie i have ever seen was called "the apocolypse" made in 2007, the worst movie ever by far, i got it throught netflix and i fell sorry for the poor mailman who had to carry it. this movie suckd. it stated out like it was gonna be awsome but after 30sec it just fell straight into the toilet. at parts the background noise was so loud you could not hear the actors, n this was not just for a few seconds but then on for 5 minutes. the acting was just horrriabe, the effects sucks, they would ahve lookd better if a bunch of kindergardeners painted them. by far worst movie ever!!!!
