I didn't even have to see Cloverfield to know it was going to be balls. I was mildly interested when I first thought it was going to be another Godzilla movie, but then I saw that it was all through the perspective of somebody with a video game.

"Well, looks like we won't be seeing shit in this movie."

For all the hype, the movie previously had (before its release), it was downplayed terribly. I thought it had no plot, and unnecessary fillers. It seemed like everything up to after the monster attacks NYC in the beginning was good.

I can see why so many people dislike J.J Abrams.

I agree. I wanted to see the movie... and did... and liked it. Was I expecting something better... yeah... a little bit. But I wasn't "disappointed". I think more and more people will hate movies that are good/popular just to be different, like The Matrix or Lord Of The Rings trilogy. Plus people over analyze shit as if they're film critics. I can understand having an opinion, but come on now. I'm not trying to diss anyone either. Anyways, it wasn't perfect or the best movie ever, but it was a good movie IMO. Definitely leaps and bounds better then the american version Godzilla movie.

Of course. If we hate a movie you like, it is just because we are rotten little people who think popularity is the same thing as how bad a movie is.

As much as I dislike agree with Lord_Sloth on anything, I got motion sickness from Cloverfield too. I couldn't even finish it. It's essentially why I'll never watch a docu-movie again.
