It's pretty much what most people have already said better education, leads to a better job, which leads to ~~butsecks~~ better lives for offspring, enabling those to create a greater society. Preparing the next generation to earn, support, and then to do the same for the next building upon the last. It's all about preparation.

Humanity is stupid. Our lives as we know it are more fragile than we realize, simply eliminating electricity throws everything in shambles:

*No lights
*No computers
*No TV
*No recharging batteries
*No gas (it's pumped electrically)
*No security systems or security cameras
*No way to use credit cards

A few years ago a solar flare hit Canada, and it was enough to knock out power to a large area for a few hours. But in that few hours, there were quite a few riots and stuff. Same with New Orleans when Katrina hit, and as well, there were riots all over the place because there was no electricty.

Reason why we're here: Earth decided that it wanted two friends, Plastic and electricity.

thats why we go to school so we can come up with some more awsome games. no id say we go to school just to better ourselves. and to learn form our mistakes in the past, to prevent them from happening again in the future. think about it the first schooling everyone has is learning from their own mistakes. you learn pretty quicky not to stick the fork in the electrial outlet again
