My advice: Well, hitting someone when they're screaming shit at you is just bad form. It's usually more effective to scream shit back at them. But in your case, I would look for a fall-guy pronto. Preferably a strung-out addict, although your daddy might work if he did the kind of things to you that I think he probably did. Get the fall-guy to come to your place and at the same time call the cops and report some noise and give a description, plant some evidence, and viola, problem solved.

My advice: Calling a board founder weird is weird. But then I am weird, so it's OK. Don't worry, I'll be crawling back in my little hell-hole of a life very soon.

You have real potential as an artist. Some of your drawings are awesome; very creative and emotion-filled. You have a great sense of humor, and you're also gorgeous, in spite of your make-a-face pics. I see through them, and recognize you for the beautiful person you are. You have wonderfully expressive and pretty eyes, luscious lips and a tongue that makes me shiver. When you get dressed up, I bet you're a real knock-out.

This semester contains some really fucked up subjects that I'm supposed to study for the summer exams period [I study computer science in university]. In the meantime, I'm trying to get a job at a major software development company. If I do get the job, which should I focus on - studying to pass the subjects, or my work to actually learn advanced programming? Or neither, and follow my ambition to become a writer? =/

You are certainly one of the more enthusiastic members here, with more than 2,000 posts. Congratulations! Your work and creativity in the MFG Power Levels thread is especially inspiring.

My advice: only if you have a thick skin. The easily wounded should not ask to be jabbed.

I've never been one to refine my insults. Short and to the point is best.

Most people teaching computer science couldn't program their way out of a paper box. Programming is actually a lot like writing. Anyone can make a simple program, but creating good ones take real skill and talent that you aren't going to pick up in school. The best way to learn to write a story or a program is by doing. Instead of taking classes, studying for tests and learning lots of stuff that you're likely to forget later, you will retain more by doing it yourself and learning from your mistakes. Hire a tutor if you have to. Getting a programming job will be worth much more than a formal education in the long run -- as long as the job involves doing something real, so that you can write on your resume "I did xxx", and not "I worked on a project where everyone else did xxx". Be sure to learn about software development process, in addition to programming. Process is where industry makes most of its really big mistakes.

With the evil free software movement, it's more and more difficult to make a living as a software developer. Like you, I love to write, but it's an even more competitive field because everyone and their brother thinks they are great writers. My advice: work in software to pay the bills, and do some writing in your spare time. If/when you develop your skills enough to start selling stuff, then consider making the move to do it full time.

No. I actually find most naked people to be really boring. And naked men just, well, really gross me out. I don't know how women put up with us. I also don't enjoy watching other people have sex; it just makes me miss what I don't have.

Now a swimsuit model photographer -- that would be one helluva job. Except most of the models are anorexic/bulimic or gay. But even so, from a distance it would be fun.
