Unless the problem is with a plugin, I would agree that Netbeans is being a dick. You could try disabling plugins to see if that helps. However, I would advise switching to Eclipse -- it's a much better IDE. Even better, if it doesn't have to be free, is the amazing Intellij IDEA by JetBrains.

My advice is to be more patient. I try to answer posts in the order they're posted.

Since you have a blurry avatar of David Lee Roth and an alias that includes the word "sloth" in it, I assume that your room/house is a huge mess, that there is a huge stack of dishes in the sink, and that you can't keep a girlfriend for the life of you.


Two suggestions:

First, don't go to bed until you're tired. Set an alarm first, though, at the time you want to get up, and force yourself to get out of bed when it goes off. Many people go to bed at a specific time or let themselves sleep in, which tends to mess their sleep up terribly. It might take a few days to adjust, and you might have to stay up really late at first, but it will be worth it.

Second, if you're still having trouble after making that change (or if that's what you're already doing), then try self-hypnosis. Uncross your legs, put your hands at your sides, close your eyes. Breathe deeply for a few minutes and imagine yourself sinking into your bed. Then imagine your "wakefulness" has taken form in front of you. It will have some shape and color. Now shine a light, or force, in your mind, on that wakefulness, and command it to go away. It will get smaller. If it resists, project a stronger force upon it. Allow yourself to drift to sleep when then wakefulness is small enough.

Unfortunately, only about half of the population is easily hypnotized, but if it works for you, it's a powerful tool.

My advice: I bet that you often let your emotions get the better of you. The key to solving your detestability problem is to set aside your emotions and do the things you know you need to do even though you don't feel like doing them. Although it might seem counter-intuitive, you will feel much better about yourself and about life in general as a result.
