I have a crisis; when someone reps me, I feel like I need to find something to rep them back for. And if I've already repped them recently and can't rep them again, I feel like I'm in shit. However, I rep funny posts or posts with extreme amounts of intelligence. Other than that, I'll rep whore from time to time just to keep Ranny away from me.

I usualy give rep for one of three things:

1. A particularly hilarious post (in a good way; if I'm laughing at the post, instead of with it, they get no rep).

2. A post that brings new information to a debate or topic, or introduces a new line of thinking.

3. Anyone who comes out and directly asks for rep.

Yeah rep for humour mostly, not just humour though... humor too!

But also if someone points out something after maybe 20 posts of people failing to make a certain point in a discussion. For something that ought to be obvious, goes over peoples heads, only to be brought up by someone later, that person gets rep.

If someone does me a favour as well, it's also a cue for rep.




Neg-Rep? When someone is retarded or types like a fucking five year old whos just discovered what a keyboard is. I've stopped recently because there seems to be too godamn many of them now.

Mainly for things that make me laugh, but similar things in general to those above.

The problem is, I feel that I, as well as pretty much everyone is very inconsistent. Sometimes I'll go for days without repping, on others I'll whore it out. I've stopped caring about it since I came back though to be honest. Before I left, I gave lots out, and was getting a fair bit, I was well into the top page, but now I'm well off the mark. That's why I think a lot of newer members probably don't even use it at all, it seems something primarily for the established members.

Depends on who it is as well. Sometimes, no matter how funny it is, I just refuse to give rep.
