I rep on if someone follows the rules right and if someone is being a good person or a bad peron. When someone reps me I often rep them back.

I don't give out reps or neg-reps, that's just the way I am. Besides, I don't really care for the rep system. Similar to post counts, reps are sometimes used as "proof" that someone is better than someone else.

Not really. I rep to give somone a compliment, or thumbs-up. Though, I never really neg-rep because I don't find it as very good method to get a point across.

I rep for what I believe to be genuine, good humor... and for posts that I absolutely and totally agree with, and which promote agendas and thoughts I promote as well.

Unless it comes from a member I just don't like, then I just turn my head away and facepalm in disgust.

You could still rep for those reasons, just make it a negative rep filled with all your discontent.

Hmpfh. You all claim these things, but in the end you all end up rep-whoring each other.

I only give away reputation when someone posts something really funny, or really productive, or delivers an excruciating amount of well-deserved ownage upon another member I don't like.

Since the amount of people that do these things are only 4-5, and I don't hit the Rep button for any other reason, every time I want to award someone with reputation it tells me that I should give away more reputation to other members beforehand. So, I never even bother to give reputation, except very rarely if something is really worth it.
