Found the answer. Sorry I was busy and couldn't get to this till now.

Referrals are there just for show who you have referred to the site, they don't actually do anything (as far as I can tell). It's just a number it's just there.

Anyways, the member you referred, apparently, is dj neutral.

So yeah ... mystery solved. Punxx wins again!

I believe when you sign up, there is a bracket that says 'member that referred you to this site? (if any)' or something along these lines. If you fill it in with the name of a member, that member gets one referral.

EDIT: That's how you get referrals. Their purpose is void.

EDIT 2: Verified.

I have a Referral as well. I brought Alienmunkie over, kicked his ass in a debate about Akatsuki>>>>>Jiraiya, and justice reigned supreme.

I wonder what happened to him. A few days after I left on my little "break", he returned with a friend, di3_romantic, and they posted in the discussion topic again apparently with the intention of confronting me a second time. I posted a reply, and last I checked, the topic has gone untouched.

Crushing nuubs... Ah, what a splendid little pastime!
