that all sounds delicious, and am i the only one who finds it sad that our generation is so hyped on the digital world that they think every film must be made with computers? Reminds me of a scene in "Survivour" from Chuck Palahniuk where this guy eats a whole lobster and only when he reaches the heart he realizes, that the lobster was still alive.

Anyways, the octopus thing is rather common in Asian countries, I think it's gross, but you do see it alot.

not as many now-a-day movies are made with computers as you'd think. anyway, Asians eat all kinds of "gross" things. there's an old Vietnamese cuisine where they eat the brain out of a monkey's skull, not while it's alive, mind you, but it's still pretty strange of those Viet Congs.

I doubt the octupi was still alive. It is pretty dumb to just eat it like it's nothing. If you eat it while alive, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be wrapped around a stick and then it slides down your throat. Eattin' one as if it's nothin' cal allow the tentacles to stick to your esophagus(sp?) and suffocate you.

While we're on forign meals though, had snake and snake blood while I was in China last summer. Pretty good stuff. XD

Eating live octopus isn't that weird a thing, think it's pretty normal in some parts of greece... or used to be. I dunno, i'll leave that one to jaif.
My mate ate dog over in vietnam, apparently doesn't taste too bad.

Can't say I like the idea of eating much of anything raw, it should be tossed on the grill even just a lil' bit.
Una Don, or japanese cooked eel is nice. Its kinda like eating a furry sausage I guess.
