But since you've started it I gotta say that there's a lot more to the story than what you've summed up in you previous post. I for my part thought that the pychological approach on how the subconsciousness manifests itself rather appealing. Concerning the fangirls...uh, I'm clearly not a fan of this human ruin, namely the main character. But this is what makes it interesting for me. Unlike other members of this board I don't read mangas because I'm into one oh so awesome character, but because I either enjoy the story or the drawing style. Preferrably both at the same time, though this is rather rare.

And proofing myself wrong on the character favourism part: I think that Kenji from Eden is awesome, drop-dead gorgous and a decent killer.

I'm not into any fictional characters as a whole either. =/

I like a series when the art is good, detailed, shows depth what with the screentone and attention to small mistakes to minimize their occurance, or basically, if it's just damn good with decently explored backstories and thoughtful, prudent storylines with pith. Character development does have a little to do with my "favorism," but unlike a certain someone, it's not all that makes a good series. Though I admit, a lot of the characters shown in the later-current parts of Berserk have backstories as opaque and unexplored and superficial as to distraught one, namely myself. =/

Also, I hardly remember any of the character names from Eden. About the only one I remember is that Enoah guy or some shit, and that's only because I own the first volume. :P
