The admin you're thinking of is Shugo ... almost positive of it. Unless DLF was an admin, but I doubt it. That was way back when though, like when I first got here. Damn old. But since I don't think we've had a banned admin.

And I got a long witht the game, he was funny sometimes, but I can understand that the people not on his good side would bloody well despise him. I wish he'd come back, maybe one day he will.

Yeah, Shugo was a banned admin, and his friend or something was banned as well, think he was Naruto. We also had that huge faxing the under 13's thing go for a little while there too. Few accounts were suspended.

Yeah, lots of flames and hacking and general powa abuse for a little while there. Dragula zombie returning with someone else and spamming the board with goatse and tubgirl and such...

Anyone else remember squalsoft? I still remember the pic of him with that giant sword he created xD

The faxing under 13...haha I remember that. A lot of people just made another account, but it wasn't really enforced anyways. People were just like meh. Also, the serious discussion forum had its share of flaming. The Illuminati (Led by Lazlo?) in the old RPG, pwning everything. Good times.

I only know of days in phpBB, not in memory, but from what I can find out. I know when the site started, when we got forums, what they looked like, and logged on in the early days, from web archives. I know who the earlier members were, what transpired with those stupid flame wars (something I've made a personal commitment to never allow to happen again), and the brilliance that got Duo and Superior where they'd been at my time in IPB, that no one ever should take for granted. I know of Shugo, rather young for an admin, as if we knew, but if his actions didn't say enough about his maturity to handle the responsibility of the power. There is a gap in my knowledge, from then, until my start. We had been hacked before my time, if I know truly. That's all. If there's something about my attitude I can show you from my memories clearly, it's that I've always wanted to...know as much as I can.



I remember how I came here in IPB days, what things were like, the people I'd met. Even what avatars they'd used. I have a pretty vivid memory of the things from then until now. I remember almost every conversation I've had with one "Sailor Neptunes Lover", in particular. I definitely remember my more amateurish debates. Those were the golden days for me, in the friends that I'd made...I can't say the same, with my resolve to make a difference in the forums. I got recommended to a moderator position, by a moderator I had been on particularly good terms with. Apparantly, Superior held his opinions in high regard, and sure enough, I was placed into a moderator postion. I learned from a lot of others on the staff, whether if I admired what they did, or witnessed what I could only see as mistakes and folly. I kind of came into my own after a while, learned how to properly express myself in a staff situation more and more, and had it tested a few times. The first had been the hacking of the forums, and what happened thenafter. The second, was an internal squable, of which I have no interest in mentioning. That point on, through experience and my relations with others, I think I've fomed into the kind of guy I am here, now. I don't know what to call the "good ol' days". Perhaps, an "experience"? More than two years of my life..

The Charismatic Enigma

Good thing to know I'm not the only one that likes to talk about the "Good Ol' Days" of MFG. I remember SqualSoft. Another staffer who used to just lurke the forums, and then he disappeared too.

I still remember when we had Zombie and the rest on the staff, who for the most part almost all of them eventually got banned. With the exclusion of Duo, Superior, Manic, Hal, The Charismatic Enigma, and Bacon. Good times. I never really had a good/bad side with "The Game." I was on his good side one week, and on his bad side the next and so fourth. Those old times were so great. I'm still kind of shocked I wasn't banned for the Superior/TCE and Manic/Hal flame wars shortly after I joined.

Then we all have to remember the porn wars of MFG two and three, where the moderators would usually miss their lunch and sometimes supper because of having to look at the pornographic pictures while trying to delete them all, and the flame wars along with them. Good times.

During the hacking of MFG 3, I remember being the only one knowing that the Superior on was not the actual Superior, which eventually lead to me telling Duo about it, and then realizing that the Ace on wasn't the actual Ace we all knew.

Then also remembering when Raitro didn't know how to type, let alone spell and somehow still survived on the MFG forums.

I remember SqualSoft, if but faintly, from a few coversations. The name "Zombie" feels like some extremely vague memory. I have no idea if it is.



Porn attacks are something I've really had to harden myself to deal with. Something like that is...so stupid. It's something that's forced upon someone to confront, but is..filthy to look at. Helping others, as my motivation, yet being made to feel so disregarded from pointless acts of foolishness that invade ideals of purity...something like that requires hardening yourself to it (or mostly, the person doing it), to deal with it. I learned to find other methods, but it's..sad. Just sad. How stupid.



EDIT: That hacking...you know Manic himself was the first one I PM'd about it, too?

I remember Squallsoft, a little, for some reason or another. I also remember when SS2 Vegeto joined, I remember a topic about Inuyasha, that was the first I ever saw of you actually, I think.

Does anyone remember the Punxxx Imposter? I remember I got online one day and some dude joined as Punxxx, with an extra x. Everyone thought it was me and I got a ton of pm's that day. One of the admins either Dino or Sharky changed his name to Punxxx Imposter and banned him I think. That was pretty sweet. Don't know if you remember that but I do.

Oh man, this thread has brought back so many great memories of this place.

The Admins who were banned that everyone is/was talking about are Member's that went by the name DLF and Shugo. DLF got banned for deleting a whole bunch of Member's, pruning the forums (deleting really old posts), doing things Ace told him not to do, and hacking (even though he denies it). Shugo got de-Admined because DLF hacked his account and started screwing around with the forum. One of the Board Founders thought it was Shugo, banned him. Once they learned of their mistake, they unbanned him just to have him lead a spam attack with then Super Moderator, Naruto. After that the very first Super Moderator ssj4_gotenks left because he didn't want to have to deal with that kind of crap anymore. That's when Duo and I came along as Super Moderator's, but that is a different story all for itself. =P

I also remember SquallSoft, I think he was the longest running Super Moderator we ever had. He joined Duo and I not long after we were appointed, and lasted until late 2005. Anybody want to know anything else? Yeah, I know, I'm really old since I was around for all of this stuff. I'm old enough to remember when Balmung's name was The Trunks, and Shugo went by the moniker of Kahmehameha Goku.

Where to start with Bob_The_Builder? How about he's the reason I ever joined the forums. I was a Member of the DragonBallToys forum and visited the main page here for many a moons, but didn't realize they had a forum. That is until he PM'ed me on DBT. Though that is about as far as we went with our friendship. He stabbed people in the back all the time, so I wasn't going to be one of those people. Eventually, he got pissed because I wasn't falling for his stuff and then attacked the Board Founders with words. Once they had enough, he was history.

I could ramble on and on, but I better be getting back to work.

Yeah, I remember him used to being kamehameha goku. Picked up all this shortly after I officially joined, before that I just used to lurk around and look at the forum for a while.

I remember back when Goku was known as Gokou xD Of course I was originally called GT-Goku as well >_>

We also had some good gfx going at that time. lilfreak13, tdk, dbz_bulma, me, goku, game, manic, links, Insanity/element (think that was one of his names), crandunk (skate-punk/cruelty/baylavim) was hitting up around then too, and plenty more. Hell we used to have gfx teams and such.

Yeah, I remember when I first appeared Duo and Sups were still in the blue team. Still remember Duo's ava at the time too, one with super saiyan goku from GT, created by Manic I think...

Heh, everyone else remember that Tiencha or whatever his name was? Got banned for being a complete idiot and annoying everyone, then tried spamming with proxy I.P. Then started saying it was actually his "girlfriend" and not him that was doing all the spamming and he was trying to tell her to stop xD

I also remember back in rpg when I first joined, led by Monster Buoyon and ... was it Link? Can't remember his name right now >_> Was in a team with Lazlo and him, so we basically did our own missions straight away. Good fun.
