Uuuuuuggggghhhh!
Is it just me or are they completly destroying Sonic with these new games?!
First Shadow the Hedgehog, and now this? I mean I used to love sonic, and up until Shadow The Hedgehog I still did, but I mean they gave shadow a gun! How lame is that?!!? And now this! WTH is with this new Sonic riders game??! Giving Sonic a hoverboard?!? SONIC DOESN'T NEED A HOVERBOARD! He's like the fastest thing in his world. And what's up with all these new charactes?? I liked it when it was just Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. Although I did loved Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, he was just so bad ass.

But c'mon! Am I the only one who thinks they are completly killing Sonic with some of these new games?

So you want all Sonic games to be the same and hold no originality what so ever?

What's wrong in having a Sonic Racing game which doesn't suck as bad as Sonic R did.

I have heard that Sonic Riders is actually a good game and holds such speed and fun that keeps you going and on edge.

Hoverboards are cool, guns aren't so i admit giving Shadow guns was a bad move but it generated new gameplay not seen in Sonic and now a i nce racer on air filled Hoverboards which is actually a good idea.

And what's wrong with adding new characters? Aslong as there stupid, a.k.a Charmy Bee and Big The cat, then more the merrier and can hold more stories equalling in more length and game time.

Sonic Riders looks like a amazing fast game, with fun and enjoyment. If you don't want anything new and something original go play Sonic 2 or 3.

Dude I have nothing against hoverboards, but Sonic doesn't need one.
And there are so many ways they could keep Sonic going, with the same old basic idea. Just watch, soon they are going to have a sonic gokart racing game. And it wont end there. The idea of the game sounds fun and all, but not for sonic, if they had just made up some new characters and left sonic out of the game, then I would have been cool. But as I have said before,Sonic does not need any hoverboard, he's the fastest hedgehog alive.

If you actually watch the gameplay videos and the opening movie Sonic on the Hoverboard goes much faster than he does on foot.

Sonic doesn't need to be any faster than he already is.
He's the fastest moving thing alive. (in his world).
See like I said, I have nothing against the idea of the game, but giving sonice a hoverboard, is exactaly like giving shadow a gun, they just don't need it.

Sega created Sonic so they know what speed he can run. The cartoon and anime are not made under Sega's ideas, except Sonic X which takes place after Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, but still doesn't follow anything Sega says.

"Sonic is the fastest thing "alive"" A hoverboard isn't alive, it's a device used for...well hovering. It was obviously made by someone to be really fast for escapes to nabb the Emeralds.
In the intro Jet says:
"Your the fastest thing alive!? Pssh."
Then takes off.
So it's bvious Hoverboards are faster than him.

Just because Sonic is fast, doesn't mean he can't take new devices to take a spin on and use.

Sonic Avenutre 2 is the fastest you have ever gone. Sonic Riders takes over that.

What I am trying to say is...the game can say that the boards are faster, but they shouldn't be. Sonic was created to be the fastest thing of his world, and even when something was made/born/created/w.e/ he would use his rings, and go faster, or go super sonic. OK if anything, nothing should EVER be able to be faster than super sonic.

And let me just clearify that I am upset with the making of this game because I dont want Sonic to become what happend to Mario, with all of the new gay games he has out, like the baseball game, wtf is up with that?

They believe they need new content in their games, so they put new content in there. Sonic doesn't have unlimited speed, he is said to be the fastest thing alive, but something or someone could always be created after that is stated to be faster than him.

It's like scientists saying the atom is the smallest form on the planet. Then they opened it up and saw even smaller forms inside of it, which showed that they were previously wrong. In other words, just because it was stated that Sonic was the fastest being alive, doesn't mean he is always going to be the fastest thing alive.

Not to mention this is basically just an arguement on who thinks their opinion is right. It will never end most likely, so might as well just state your opinion and leave it be.

Honestly? Yeah I guess. But like I said in my last post I just don't want what happend to mario happen to Sonic. Mario now has 2 tennis games, a football game, a baseball game, 2 gold games, and 7 parties. I dont want Sonic to be reduced to that.

Ok well fine. Something can be created to be faster. And as a last resort Sonic could use one to keep up with some people. But I don't think the whole game should be the racing, they should have made like part of it old school style, jumping on bad guys to get to the race or something.

IMO, this game is gonna be awesome from what I've seen. Sonic has been and maybe always be one of my favorite video game characters. He was original when he first came out, but now Sega can't come up with anything new to put in Sonic games.

i have to totally agree with this, i have nothing against this game it looks amazing! and i think the guns in shadow are good, it's in a league of it's own, it doesn't need to be like the originals, becasue shadow was never anyway.
