Well, Bush's term ends in 2008, but I'm wondering if we can get to 2008 before a major war breaks out. I mean WWIII or something similar. The middle east conflict seems to get worse everyday, and I think this is largely Bush's fault. I'm afraid he'll start something huge before his time in office runs out...

Wow... well, there's really no way to debate it since there's no way to tell the future... I think as things stand now there's not enough to start a major war... but any real war wouldn't be with the middle east, you should worry about north korea/china. If anything really big happens- it's ONLY going to be with them.

It's practically impossible because the war would last longer than Bush's tenure. Maybe if he fixes the election so one of his comrades is president and he is the puppeteer or something like that.

I hope not,but if it happens I hope Portugal (the country I am from) doesn't take any side....I don't want to die so young because of one stupid gorvenment that decides to enter the war.We don't have money to make good hospitals,why would we have money to produce and buy weapons?

I don't know about that. Theres lots of people out there who will blow them selfs up for what they believe in. Theres also lots of nuts. Someone dropping a nuke could defenantly happen.

There definately won't be another war before Bush's term is over - Iraq is still going on, even Bush wouldn't start another one so soon. In the next 10 years, there won't be wars any bigger than the Gulf War - No one has the guts to start one.

As for Bush, the ending of his season is no reason to sigh relieved. America is incapable of having a reasonable and productive president, I believe. After Bush, it's just going to be another choice between a douche and a turd sandwich.

When it's WWIII, it's over. A full-on World War would contaminate this planet for decades, and wipe us all out. No chance.

^ Guerrilla battles in some deserted African village are not major wars. Sadly thousands of people in the world die every day unrealized, but we're talking about something at least the size of Viet Nam here.

This is regarding North Korea. Since its serperation, North Korea has done fairly poorly. The Soviet Union had been able to keep it alive as well as fund its weapon programs, if not provide it with some. The Nuclear plant in Pyongang is not that great since it is only one. Not to mention that the money needed to go to this is sapping the people of food. Kim Jong-Il is not a war mongrel where he is about to start a war with the only remaining Superpower; United States. The stockpiles of Chemical and Biological weapons is not nearly enough to do much damage to any large country that would spark a Major War (not World War). As of now, the Korean Military has the largest enrollement compared to population in the World but that comes at a cost of very, very technologically dinosauric weapons. The though of North Korea being able to blow a country apart with "heavy weapons" is not existance and foolhearty. If they had the weapons, they would be demanding this and that, not getting Aid Packages from various countries.

China, the last remaining Soviet "Superpower". This country fluxuates depending on who is leading. Back to the start of Communism in China, Mao Zedong was trained in Stalinism so that the Nationalist forces could be repelled, which happened. During the entire span till his death in the 80s, Chairman Mao Zedong started no War and participated in none, except for the Korean war in which Chinese forces stepped and basically told the world to p**s off with Asian relations. But that did not last long because, as Communism as proven multiple times that Economy collapses when its mismanaged. But the sheer build of forces gave the Chinese Army the largest, most magnificent army to date. With over 200 million soldiers in the Army and Militias, the Chinese Armed forces have active members than countries have of their popluation. Throw in a baked pie and you got yourself a party. However, their Economy is starting to rebuild itself that there is no way that the Chinese government would no way cause pressure with its western accomplices. However, they did say "We want to become a Military Superpower and the United States of America is standing in the way" but that can mean many things. Suggestively, a buildup of arms again and the economy dieing.

To those that do not think that he is incapable of starting a war because his reign will not suffice long enough, think twice about it. If there were to be such a war that the American Society is pressured or threatened even the slightest (beyond Terrorist strikes) Bush has the power and the will to put USA in Martial Law/State which would place him as president till the threat is over. Or, Bush can just decide to ammend the law that requires him to step down and just keep running though he would not get too many votes that way. (I dont know what Law it is; Im Canadian)

There are not enough Nuclear weapons in the world that would destroy everyone completely. No country has that capability. That would take millions to do. You all talk about these weapons when there they are so hard to get to attack with when you got weapons out their like the Israeli Sound bomb or their Fission Bomb. Neither one destroys building. They are manufactured to kill people, and thats all. One with sound waves that erupt Internal orgrans without being heard and the other that releases radiation in the air that kills. Granted, Nuclear bombs can contaminate the Earth for thirty years, but they can be survived. Can you survive with your heart being turned to mush?

There is a prophecy that I believe is coming true, but that is of another matter. I am not religious, but from what I have studied and learned, its a possibility.
