Mario Kart DS

I can not wait until this is out next week! I'll hopefully be picking it up next Tuesday.

I thought there would be a couple of unlockable characters but there are quite alot!

Main Characters

Mario
Luigi
Peach
Toad
Yoshi
Donkey Kong
Bowser
Wario

Secret Characters-

Waluigi
Daisy
Dry Bones
Koopa Troopa
Toadette
Petey Pirahna
Shy Guy

And R.O.B. is a Kart in the game! Here's proof.

So what are your thoughts on it? I also can't wait for online play, and the game it self just looks so fun.

Didn't i make a topic about this a few weeks back?

Ah well.

It looks good, shame though that online only has 1-4 players at once and no bots.
And it seems that most people just disconnect when there losing.

When i do get the game though, i expect to race you Mystic Ninja!

Oops sorry my mistake. The only problem is the Wi-Fi connector is only available until next year at retail when Metroid Prime: Hunters is released, for now you can only get it online which no one will do for me. =/

You mean the USB Wifi connecter right?

If your near a wireless router the game runs online. And we have one, so that's okay.

Nintendo are releasing a Wifi Connecter which links into your wireless router and a USB Broadband Wifi connecter which comes with Metroid Hunters, which if you haven't got a wireless router, it hooks up to your pc and connects (or something like that)

I believe this is correct, it says that a Wifi connecter will be released with the game, so i assume they are 2 different things.

But it's going to be really cool, me vs you vs 2 other MFG'ers (if possible)
I have always wanted to play against someone on the forum.

Damn Canada gets it tommorow, but I was able to play it when I was picking up RE4 on Sunday and I must say it is so fun, the best in the series. But yeah I got all the cash to pick it up tommorow so I'll post more info tommorow. When does the UK get it?

It's not exactly the most innovative game, but it has the classic fun all the others has and puts it in one game.

Just got it! I'm trying out online right now and so far everything is going well. So I'll actually play a little and tell more about it later.

EDIT: I just finished one grand prix and I got into one online match so far, I was winning so the guy quit. >_> Oh and also I have experienced absolutely NO lag at all in the online races.

I thought that would be the case of people disconnecting if they lose. What sore losing assholes.

Luckily though, Nintendo have made it so that if they disconnect you get the automatic win and the person who left get's a loss mark on their scoreboard.
Seems fair.

Could you explain more about:
How to connect.
Is their voice chat?
How do you find servers?
Is it simple?
Does it feel like a Mario Kart?
Any new weapons?
Are all the tracks just old ones from previous MK games?
