i find the games are getting both easyer and harder cuz i have a gamecube with the legend of zelda collecters edition dick and it has 4 legend of zelda games init and i find ocarina of time WAY easyer than the origonl becuz i can beat it in 2 days the origonal i didnt even get to level 3 i accidentaly skipt it i can find anything in the origonal legen of zelda game
and i find super smach brothers melee is harder than the one for N64 dbz budokai 1 is too easy dbz budokai 2 so-so budokai 3 working on Z2 mode i find the remake games harder than the origonl because i find final fantasy 6 harder than 3 and 4 harder than 2 then super mario sunshine... herder than super mario 64, also most of the old ones you had to beat in one day becuz the carterages were crap then. wow that was one of those one thing leads to another |

the only reason games are getting easier these days is because of saving.. when we go back to the day of the original mario game and similar games you never had an automatic save, so you had to begin again at the start every single time you played or died but now you can actually save on the final boss if you wanted.

^exactly. Another reason is that gaming is becoming more mainstream and so developers feel the need to lower the difficulty to make the games more appealing to the less skilled and the mentally challanged. One thing u could try is completing the prince of persia from this generation, and then the original one to see which you think is harder.

There are some things about saving that p**s me off. Metroid Prime has problems with saving, since when you die you have to go all way the back to where you last saved (which is usually a long ways for me).
I end up just not playing if I die. lol.

I liked the system in resident evil where u cud only save in certain places (type writer), and only a certain amount of times (ink). Other games also tried to use this system too like tomb raider 3.

Ah, yeah. Tomb Raider's save crystals. That was an interesting, but fucking frustrating element.
I disliked the way Resident Evil 4 took on saving. Infinite amount of times you can save, and the continue spots were virtually right before where you would die. There wasn't much difficulty going through that game, really.

It is. Being able to power up your guns made things even moreso.
At first, it was remotely scary (probably because I had done drugs before I started playing it), but then it's just like any other action game, minus the intensity. There isn't much effort needed to beat it anymore. The Resident Evil remake, on the other hand, owns me thoroughly, and requires more skills since you need to actually conserve ammunition and have more of a chance of dying. I tried to give RE4 something like this, by avoiding picking up any ammunition from people I killed, and not using anything other than the weapons I could find. It gets pretty hard doing that.

There are some hard games out there. And what do you mean by hard just beating the game or beating it 100% its much harder trying to unlock everything. In my opinion the hardest game ive ever played (other then megaman x4) is ninja gaiden for xbox. I beat it but it was so hard .
