I have it...
Or I should say 'did have it'. My computer is being re-formatted cause my brother installed some retarded virus. Retarded brother. But yeah, I had it. =( Half Life 2 was awesome. But what sucks? Expansion for it was coming out. Re-formatting + Expansion = Makes me a sad panda.

Well I have Steam with all the Half-Life jazz. And I know how you can get it for free, all the games. You need to know someone who's really nice and would give access to their Steam ID. Although VALVe wouldn't really like you doing that what it does is it will download all the games that the Steam ID has and will put itself on that certain PC. Do you have a friend who has Half-Life 2? Ask them if you could "borrow" their ID.
Hope that helped you out. Oh what are your system specs? Just need to know if it can even handle HL2 decently. Even though HL2 runs on ALOT of systems, that doesn't mean smooth gameplay though. The most important part to get best performance is RAM and maybe CPU. Of course you need a graphics card but you don't need a 7800 GTX in SLi. A 9600 XT is about $79 on Newegg.com and can run the game on high settings, if you have the RAM and processor to back it up. If you have 256 MB RAM well that need an upgrade, to at least 512 MB RAM, 1 GB you are definately fine. Now for the CPU. Well if you have a Pentium 4, like some system requirement sheets say 1.2 GHz is the minimum, 2.4 Ghz is reccomended. If you have an AMD I once used a +2200 Sempron and worked fine. So that or above or maybe a little lower I assume would be fine. |
