No it is not. Yet anyway.
Paul. W. S. Anderson is planning 2 Resident Evil films. One during the events of Code:Veronica with Wesker and Claire Redfield, the other has not got many details yet. The movie title is Resident Evil: Afterlife. So the 4th film which he has hinted at could possibly be 4 i am unsure.

Please don't tell me that Paul. W. S. Anderson is directing any more films let alone a another resident evil movie. Hate to be negative but I single-handedly believe he is the worst director on the planet, I have not seen a single decent film from that man and the thought of him making a further film is an axe in my back. I simply hope that resident evil is made into a true resident evil movie without superpowers or CGI blobs.
Resident evil was always about survival horror and I believe the two movies never even scratched the surface on this theme. I would love to see something similar to 28 days later which for me was a prime example of survival horror. sadly I believe a higher age rating and a more inventive director is needed to provide this theme that I crave for. |
