Is it Aeris or Aerith?

On my FF:VII on the PS her name is Aeris, but i have spoken to people who say her name is Aerith.

Anyone know why this is, why her names are diffrent?

Dude, i made this topic ages ago.

It's officially Aerith, but in FF:VII they translated it to Aeris.

I was inactive for the first month and a half. I came one once in a while then about june i became a frequent visitor.
