The 360

So quite simply we are a matter of months away from the release of the start of the next-generation consoles starting with xbox 360 and intrigued to see if anyone else is looking forward to getting their hands round the next controller.

so after digging through all the facts and all the images I can safely say the 360 is seriously a impressive piece of kit and will make a perfect addition to my hardware collection. so are their other players out there that will be of threshing this beast come December?

But just to say what I'm looking forward to is the improved media options, greatly improved online capabilities which I will be taking full advantage of and the seemly large collection of first person shooter games that are coming out for it. And finally the console's look is very slick thankfully nothing like the previous brick.

I can't wait. Morrowind Oblivion is coming out for it, isn't it? Or is that just for the X-Box? >.> At any rate, it's going to be an awesome system.

Anyway, they ought to fix Halo 3 for this thing. Halo 2 was faltered in comparison to its forefather...so hopefully on the 360 we'll be able to tell a proportionate difference between 3 and 2 game-play wise.

I would really love to get this but it is a hell of a lot of money!! and the games are like a quarter of the console price!!

I might just go round friends and play it at theirs until i can scrimp and save and get my own. I wonder how long it will take for the price to drop??

Personally i can't wait for Need for Speed Most Wanted that is going to rock, its going back to the old need for sped/escaping form cops style with the customisation stuff as well, brilliant!!!

Gears of War also looks pretty good, its going to be their promotional product i think so it aut to be good!!! Project Gotham racing whatever should also be quite kl, the graphics of the cars look rediculous!!!

I am definately looking forward to the 360 as well. I know people are speculating the PS3 has the most amazing graphics ever. But I think the 360 has some really great looking games! Gears of War is a perfect example and a game style I love. If anyone has seen the new PDZ vids thats also another one that looks amazing. But in Japan you can only get the bundle that has the hard drive and stuff, and it's $50 cheaper...

I was waiting for someone to come a long and mention the current tacky looking and non-existent PS3. While hopefully there will be certain improvements in at console I am not currently not impressed or interested in the slightest in sony attempt Nintendo on the other hand have certainly tried to impress and to a standard has.

anyway the 360

this cute little pieceI will certainly not deny that £280 is a lot for a console but considering all the other consoles before it would just as much or even more and if anyone remembers the super Nintendo games were even more expensive than the soon-to-be 360 games. someone mentioned "Gear of War" which is certainly hotting up to be a top-notch game and visually is stunning. People keep mentioning halo, while I like the halo franchise I'm not overly bothered about it because it's not on my list of reasons for buying the 360.

some of the reasons are the improved player interface which far more flexible than on the xbox. I'm quite impressed with the amount of customisation you can do to your 360 with swapable covers and different in-console menus and background images. also the vastly improved live with now the silver package being completely free so if you have broadband is simply plug up and go without any hassle. also now the marketplace where you can download demos, trailers and additional content for games which I will particularly find interesting. And wireless controllers so no more tripping up. I'm just overly easier to get my hands on this and start dominating people on live.

Well which package will everyone get? The Core system? Or the Premium System?

I'm definately gonna get the bundle with the hard drive and stuff. I just want the full package instead of possibly being held back in some ways.

Well I'm sure there'd be more to it than just extra hard-drive...like...a game that comes with it. At any rate...I'll probably convince my parents to get the full package, especially since I'll be getting a few RPGs.

there is certainly going to a co-op mode in gear and hopefully can be played by individuals on a single console and over live. what I've heard about live version is that when your partner talks it actually comes through the mouth of their character and becomes difficult to hear when in a heavy gunfight.

also someone said what package are we going to get, well I will be getting the full works because the hard drive will become an essential part and I want the wireless controller and DVD remote.

But the co-op mode in Gears.. is the voice system is really like that then the Unreal Engine 3 is pretty damn good.

I might get it for X-Mas if not that then definately for my birthday (January 30th)..

So what launch titles are you guys gonna get. That is if you're getting it at or around launch.

Ahem, anyway the line up so far is really impressive. Halo 3 though don't come out till about summer 2006 i believe.
After watching a cam gameplay of Perfect Dark Zero, it looks sweet. It has impressed me that Rare still have the fire for making great games. I hope they keep it up.

Onii-san hasn't even chosen what game to get himself for the release date yet lol.
