It depends. Just because someone has better stats doesn't make them the better player. You also have to consider who the QB is and how athletic they are.

Quarterback

1. Donovan McNabb- Not because I'm an Eagle fan either. He's the only quarterback who is good at BOTH scrambling and passing.
2. Daunte Culpepper- Despite his horrid performance yesterday, he's the same as Mcnabb just not quite as good.
3. Peyton Manning- Stats don't mean much, but the reason he's #3 is because of his ability to read defenses.
4. Bret Favre- Losing his touch but is and will be a great QB.
5. Tom Brady- Who would you rather have in a big game situtation?

Running Back
1. Ladainian Thomlinson- I don't need to give a reason. First player in NFL history to rush for 1,500+ yards and catch 100 passes in 1 season in 2003.
2. Brian Westbrook- could play either RB or WR.
3. Corey Dillon- Quicker and more power than Shaun Alexander.
4. Shaun Alexander- Since coming to the Seahawks, has had a productive year almost every year.
5. Tiki Barber- One of the most versatile backs in the NFL.

Wide receiver
1. Randy Moss- Superfreak is arguably the best pure athlete in the NFl, coming in a close second to Michael Vick perhaps. Has had 1,000 yards receiver every year so far in his 7 year career.
2. Chad Johnson- A solid WR every year, and is more athletic than Marvin Harrison.
3. Marvin Harrison- Peyton Manning's home boy. Need I say more?
4. Torry Holt- Has eclipsed the 1,400 yards receiver plateau 6 times in his career.
5. Terrel Owens- provides the Eagles with the big play ability that Donovan McNabb so desperately needed. Not the best jumper and not the fastest, but perhaps the best route runner in the NFL.

Tight End

Just simply, Tony Gonzalez

Kicker

Adam Vinatieri might be more clutch, but David Akers has a more powerful leg and is just as accurate.

Cornerback

Chris McAllister takes the cake in this category. Returned a missed field goal 107 yards one time.

Free Safety/ Strong Safety

Brian Dawkins and Ed Reed are the winners of this category.

Defense

Baltimore's defense held one of the best offenses of all time to 3 points through the first half. Need I say more?

Trust me I don't just go by stat's. I am just simply talking about playing the position the right way! D-Mac is a good scrambling QB, but the fact of the matter is he's no threat to run anymore, and he's already not a very accurate QB to begin with. So if he doesn't use his feet, and he just think's he is a pocket passer. then he is no true threat anymore.

I also disagree with rating Westbrook so high. I am an Eagles fan as well, and I would take Edgerrin James over Brian anyday of the week! James can catch the ball out of the backfield, you can also split him out as wideout as well. He also is a better running back, because he makes more guys miss, and is alot harder to bring down, but Westbrook is faster. I would also take Priest Holmes over Westbrook, because he does exactly what he does, but he's a bit older!

I also can't believe you put Favre No #4 ahead of Brady? The Favre nowadays isn't even on Byron Leftwich's level now. He just throws the ball up for grabs, and other dumb things. Manning is a statue in the pocket I have to admit that! But he has to be No.1 or No.2, because no one pick's apart a defense like him, and I had to witness it when I went to the Colts vs Eagles game at the vet. I like Daunte but not a big fan of his. Hopefully he will be able to make it with No.#84?
