I didn't read all the posts but from what I know Tien is a human. If I recall correctly in DB he had 4 arms or something.

What Yamcha said is unclear because we don't know if he said it just to make Krillin look good in front of Marron. Bah, anyways Tien managed to deflect a blast from Super Buu, while Krillin was being trained along with Yamcha (by King Kai) to fight Super Buu. So who's really the strongest, no one knows.

My conclusion is: Tenshinhan is a human. Nothing other is stated. Everyone who aren't humans have been told they are aliens (or demons or Kai's and so on). By that and the previous posts we can know that Tenshinhan is a human. If AT wanted us to believe something else, I'm sure he would've written that.

that's exactly what i thought macgyver tien is human he just has a third eye i don't know how he got that third eye but he does and theres nothing more

You are right Tien is human, but Kuririn isn't more strong than Tien:

Earlier in this or another post (don't know who or which) someone says that AT said that Tenshinhan got his thrid eye because of some kind of enlightment, and that he couldn't use all the powers connected to the third eye(some god- like stuff from oriental mythology) because of him following the dark side. If I said something wrong here please correct me someone.

Don't know if this is posted, but i read someone at a danish forum where the admins is the ones who publices the comics in denmark tells that Tien is from an old planet who was destroyed... Or something... That was what i remeber of it... Hes born on earth but his family is not from the planet!
Don't know about Chao-Zu... Probably something alike...!
