I'm very offended. I bought that game for my children so they can shoot people in the face, traffic drugs, and fornicate with prostitues all the while being subjected to racist and profane language. But NUDITY?! That's going way to far, as my children live in a protective bubble and must not be subjected to sex, because my false delusion is they will be virgins forever.

I don't get why parents give a shit, I can go on Google right now, type in a single word and get some porn. Talk about over-fucking-reacting.

Parents should care because quite simply they don't want their children growing up to have no moral guidance and be unable to tell between good and bad. but sadly it's too late the latest generation 13-18 are bunch of assholes with no respect and very little prospect. There is only a small majority that are able to stand above the rest and show that tv, gaming and music doesn't easily manipulate them.

I'm aware of that, knowing alot of disrespectful assholes myself and being one at times. But it's not GTA that's currupting them, it's how easy they get it. They don' know what it's like to work for money, they just get everything handed to them. Being 13 myself I know how bad some people can be. If parents want to have their kids have moral guidence, stop that "Time Out" shit, if your kid is a dick, smack him. Your kid screws up, smack him. Just don't go overboard, a kick in the ass once in awhile is motivating.

I'm certainly not blaming gta for troubled teenagers the sole blame is "the parents". sadly discipline has been a decline for some time and kids these days really need a "reality check". All i'm really saying is parents should take responsibility for what the kids are playing in their rooms and make sure they're not been brainwashed into the games world's.

Parents should always take an active part in the children's lives instead of letting the TV be the substitute.

I find GTA games boring and repetitive, so I wouldn't make a mistake like that, and even if I did, I don't think a video game has ever reflected itself onto real life.

I didn't run outside with an arm-bound power beam and start blasting random animals walking around surfaces in a fixed pattern after playing Metroid games. ;[

some of my best friends play the GTA games and they haven't done anything stupid. i think if kids understand what kind of stuff is in the game then they should be allowed to buy it. i mean, i don't think many people pay attention to the ratings system anyway. i do to an point though.

You've just said the main problem right there. Everyone's stopped spanking their children. I've met tons of very unruly little children up town that I just want to spank them and beat the shit outta their parents for raising such a child.

And also I've never been a big fan of GTA at all because for one people only liked it until III came for the PS2. And another thing I hate is the missions are the same, a crappy stereotype wants you to kill another stereotype. It's stupid!

Oh and also Hilary Clinton and Jack Thompson have been making way too much of a big deal so now that people obviously knew San Andreas was going to get an AO rating, that made people buy San Andreas before it's not available.

And that's where the salesman comes in. They should let the parents know what's in the game. It changes the whole perspective when they know. Then they start being more alert.

I've bumped into several people up town wanting to get their kids and grand kids GTA3. I taught them how to read the ratings and even gave a few suggestions for their kids.

The clerck sure as hell wassn't going to do anything. She didn't even know what an RF Unit was.
