Errm, that loks cool. that's the best ever picture of Sparkling. It has more realistic graphics than Budokai.
Those ball things look like how many macthes they won or something. So u may play serval matches before a winer is declared. Nice!!! |

Well, considering they're over the water, they have 3 options. 1) An invisible floor between you and the water, possibly at ground level. 2) Concrete water, meaning you can go down to it but not in. 3) Being able to enter the water. I prefer option 3 myself.
And yes, the game has been confirmed for American, European, and Korean releases (along with Japanese, of course). Now comes the BIG question. Is Budokai Tenkaichi the American name of Sparking! or is it it's own game? EDIT: And I think, now that I've seen enough of these scans, that I undersand the HUD layout. The top bar (the orange and red thing) is your Ki bar. Charge it up and you get those dashes that appear to show how much of a charge you have. The middle green bar is your health. The bottom bar is probably your 'ultimate' bar. You charge it through some fashion and each of those 'dots' lights up to mark what level you're at. 1 for a level 1 ultimate, 2 for 2 and 3 for a level 3 ultimate. ^^ This is all just speculation of course, but the first two I'm almost certain of. The third bar and dots though, could be completely off. |

actualy the underwater part has been done in a game before in my memory... butoden 2 had a level where your start out floating above water, and hitting the fly butten will cause you to dive underwater, slower movement then flying and the sounds has kind of an echo to them( butoden was the super nintendo japanese fighting games for DBZ which used split screens when the characters got to far apart)

I've known that I was going to get this game for quite some time now. The only thing for me will be coming up with the money for the game. Since I'm currently saving for Area 51.

This game looks like its goona suck. Well Bargoku, let's see if you'll still hold that idea after you've seen this. Enjoy. http://ps2.ign.com/articles/610/610219p1.html

I have to agree this is gonna put the DragonBall Z Budokai games to shame. I mean going from the Saiyan Saga to Buu Saga. What else could we ask for? The only Budokai game that might be better is Budokai 1 just because I like the 3D characters better then the 2D ones. If this game would have 3D characters it would kill all the others but if it doesn't I guess I'll just have to play it to find out whether it is better then Budokai 1 or not.

no disrespect superior, but the characters are in 3d, the rendering method is called cell shading this gives it a flatter more cartoon style look to more resemble the show
ontopic: wait a minute, so this IS Tenkaichi? i didnt know till i say that link holy crap... straght from a lead atari exec's mouth, you got chouzu all of genu force ooruza(monkey form i cant spell) janemba obviously IGN: QUOTE you can expect to see him in the lineup along with more than 60 other combatants -- the most ever in any Dragon Ball Z game. In fact, just about every character you can think of has made the final cut for Tenkaichi with some of them being a little less traditional than expected. The entire Ginyu Force (yes, including Guldo), all the Androids, all the Saiyans, every bad guy, and plenty of other surprises (giant monkey anyone?) will join up returning favorites like Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks, Frieza, and Ginyu so that you can recreate all your favorite battles stages announced: namek, earth(mountains, plains, cell ring,) 8 planned "probably more" destroyable enviroments reveal power ups(much like LOG2) "the amount of characters is just amazing, ive never seen a game with that many characters in my life" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() IGN: Perfect Cell, Kid Buu, Super Saiyan Goku, Janemba, SS Vegeta, Piccolo, SS Gohan, and Frieza will be available in the demo at e3 (in my personal opinion the listed characters being identified by the ssj transformation may be a sign that there is no mid battle transformations) IGN: controls QUOTE R1 and R2, for example, are no longer used for transformations and throwing opponents. Now, that pair of buttons is used for the much more important task of up and down mid-air flight controls. Yes, that's right; your character no longer has to be launched into the sky by an attack in order to fly. Now all you have to do is hold down R1 and ascend into the heavens for a little mortal combat. The free-roaming flight changes strategies too, as now it's entirely possible to play a cat and mouse game to prolong battles and use the environment to your advantage. And yes, the backgrounds are completely destructible. The rest of the controls aren't as familiar either. The X button now commands dash and special arts instead of the previously-set guard (which itself is now the circle button), and Triangle has been changed from kick to Energy Wave. L1 centers the camera (which is very useful by the way), and L2 doubles as both the super charge and a modifier for attack combos. The amazing thing is that as different from the previous control scheme that this setup provides, it still feels like nothing has changed at all; In a nutshell, Budokai 4 basically plays like Budokai 3 had it been running on the Virtual On engine. |
