MFG Blogs?

As you may have noticed, we've just upgraded the forum to the latest version of invision power board. This new version allows a feature for people to blog. Is this a feature that you would enjoy using? Comments? Questions?

Whats a blog?

A blog (short for "web log") is a place where you can enter notes on whatever subjects you want. Other people can read your notes, and give you feedback.

Your blog could talk about what you're doing at school, your hobbies, the latest anime shows you're watching, how great the MFG forum is, or whatever else you're interested in. You can also upload pics to your blog.

I think it's a good idea, i've seen them used around on other sites. I'm not sure if i'd use it but i think its a good idea

I like the idea of Blog's on MFG. I'd definatly use mine.

I voted maybe because in a way I want it but I don't want it to turn out like the Chat did. No one used that and it evenutally went away.

I think yes. Because i think i might not use it that much but i still will. I am sure other members will use it too. It sounds like a good idea. I vote yes.

Are you sure a blog and image-uploading features are the best idea for bandwidth? If a lot of people got to using the blog and posting images in it from time to time, it wouldn't take long until they started sucking up a majority of the bandwidth.

Oh, and I voted "No." I write my own journal with HTML, so I'd have no need.

I voted no too, I think Manic's right. Besides, with 2000 members only like 30 maybe would be read every day. Maybe people who have been here for a while could have one, but there's really no sense for a newb to have one, no one would read it. Maybe make it available after 4 months? I would say posts but then people would just be spamming like crazy trying to get their count up.

It depends on a couple of things to me. Would it be attached to the forums/profiles? Or do you get your own sub-link? And I'd have to see one in action before I'd jump on it. So, I'll vote "Maybe."

I voted yes.
I can say that I have sometimes been bored on MFG.
Having a blog, will give some people things to do.
For those of you that voted "No." You dont have to write anything down.
So just ignore it if you dont like the idea.
