of course iron man by black sabbath was great..
but metallica has many more..like

I really hate Metallica. They're just alot of grunting put together with some impressive solo's and boring guitar. Black Sabbath are pretty good, but Ozzy's solo career was better IMO.

I dont care for metallica at all i liked one of there songs with the video when there in the jail or something. But other then that i dont like them so black sabbath.

Your thinking of Saint Anger; its a good song, not one of their best but good. Both of these bands are amazing, while Black Sabbath has had more records and more band members (lol) i give my vote to Metallica.

I cant agree with your description of them Dark_Soul, but im not gonna flame you becuase of it. I think they have done amazing solos and immortal riffs. While Sabbath also has these, i chose metallica on personal preference.

OOO this is a toughy. But my vote goes to Black Sabbath. They just have that unique sound. Also Iron Man is one of my all-time favorite songs. But Metallica is still an excellent band too.

i love metallica bt i hated st.anger...i like their older music more...enter sandman is a classic..the guitar solo is amazing..

I can't denie that Metallica are an impressive band, but I don't like what they've become. They shut down napster, (=P), and the lead singer started a donation site towards the band or something, like they don't have enough money already.

I did, used to like Metallica, maybe before St anger or something, but now IMO, they've sold out and aren't really capable of making good music anymore =/

True Metallica has let themselves go. I really dont know who to go for because Black Sabbath let Ozzy go which seemed to work for Ozzy but not for Black Sabbath.

The whole St Anger album was dealing with what they did on their time apart. For instance the lead singer (James i believe) did a lot of thinking and dealing with his problems n such... went through a lot. I would not classify St Anger as their best album (probably their worst) but their old stuff ranks them above Sabbath in my preference.

St.Anger is a disaster. Black Sabbath are good, I can't deny it, but old Metallica is THE band.

Metallica gets my vote here, Black Sabbath was pretty good, but I can't stand Ozzy's voice (just a pet peeve or something, I don't know why). But Metallica's last album blew. I liked the one with the orchestra, that sounded cool.

No they did an entire album with an orchestra, it was called S&M I think. That might be the wrong title though.

Edit - Yeah No Leaf Clover is on the album.
