New to HTML.

I've never made a Site before but I've wanted to for quite some time. I have tried to learn HTML but I can't get the hang of it, whats the best alternative program to use in order to make a quality website without using basic HTML?

I'd suggest Microsoft Frontpage or Macromedia Dreamweaver. Both are very nice programs and helpful. If you want to learn basic HTML, I could give you a link to a great site to learn it. Once I get my monitor tonight (It's broken, I'm on my parents'

Dreamweaver is usually preferred over frontpage but frontpage is more popular because it comes with ms office in most cases. When you get the hang of html, the best thing to use would be notepad.

Dreamweaver, I believe, would end up costing you more than frontpage though. This is siply because I'm assuming you have frontpage already, because of ms office.

Lol, I never unbanned you from my PM allows when you got banned 3 months ago, but it is now fixed, so try PM'ing me again.

I'll check and see if I have Frontpage when I get back home tonight (I'm going to a Halo 2 party...w00t) and then look into dreamweaver as well, all sounds well...

Front page is the easyest to work with i think. You can also make the site on there not just the coding.

But if u dont ahve it there might be a trial or u might have to pay 100+ for it.

The only program I have used is adobe golive and that was two years ago. It was easy to use.

Yeah i wanted to get that from ebonix but i havnt seen him online for about 2 weeks.

I have Macromedia Dreamweaver MX4 and Macromedia Flash to make Flash (Still struggling to work with Flash).

But i think im doing fine.... just i don't know how to actually host the website or whatever.

Freewebs is crap and just not worth the time if u do or don't pay for it.... your better off just having your own server with your site.

UASV - No Freewebs is not the best, they ad whore and they don'tgive you much to work with. These days, no free hosts are good, back when I was 7 freehosts were actually useful; more so than they are now atleast. Best bets now would be to pay for hosting or get a sub domain off someone else who pays for hosting.
