I'd like to introduce you to my first editorial, the Spelling and Grammar tutorial!

Spelling:

I'll start off by saying that I hate when people use 'u' instead of 'you' and 'r' instead of 'are.' It just proves that you're too lazy to type three simple letters. Another thing, why use '4' instead of 'for?' What's wrong with typing a full word?

Most of the times, people spell words incorrectly because they're too damn lazy to move their fingers around the keyboard. Some times, though, they just have failed to go to school, therefore lack the ability to spell. If you're THAT lazy, just download a free spell checker, then you might not seem to be such an idiot. On GameFAQs, even a noob can seem to be somewhat sophisticated in the grammatical department by using the "Preview and Spellcheck Message" button. It automatically corrects your spelling for you, causing you to look like you've been to school.. Sadly, MFG doesn't have this, so the members that aren't so lazy have to sit and read posts that don't use proper spelling at all.

Grammar:

I'm as picky as I am about grammar as I am about spelling. For example when someone posts 'lol teh1337games a butt pirate,' it is annoying in a way. It shows that they are uncapable of holding 'Shift' to captilize my name and the first word of the sentence. It also proves that the period, quetion mark, and other punctuation are too far for them to push. Using grammar can prove that you are not as much of a retard as most members think you are.

What's wrong with holding 'Shift?' Is it possesed by some unknown evil force that shocks you when you hold it? No. So take advantage of this button, and capitilize words.

Another thing, don't overdo it. Many members get highly annoyed when you post a message while 'Caps Lock' is on. DON'T TYPE LIKE THIS. It makes you seem like an idiot. Also, don't try to type in a "fancy" form by typing LiKe ThIs BeCaUsE iT mAkEs YoU sEeM eVeN sTuPiDeR.


Well, that pretty much wraps up this editorial. In conclusion, use spelling and grammar correctly, then you seem smarter.

I know someone's going to post a message in here with horrible grammar and spelling just to piss me off.

Lazlo: Because on GameFAQs, you need to use proper spelling and grammar, or you'll be flamed to hell. No pun intended. I've been there for three months, so I pretty much only use proper spelling.

Note the 'used' to. Also, I haven't use 'PWND' for a while. I use 'owned.' Again, you fail at life.

I knew I should've put that in the editorial. Yes, as long as they're not stupid, made-up things like "OMGDG" as "Oh my god damn God." That's just stupid.
