True, well Metallica have a version (one of their best songs IMO); i think Dire Straits did a song called Fade to Black. Is that who you mean? (tho i could be wrong, never been a big Dire Straits fan).
If it is, then i ask my above song - Peaches n Cream (non r&b one) |

Every band I've ever heard of with Fade to Black as a song title. (Not counting Covers)
Metallica - I guess that's not it. Apocalyptica - No "R" in the name. Zeromancer - I think it's them. So my song for you guys to guess is from the 90's, it's called Nitro (Youth Energy) off the best selling album of 1996.

Lol Engel, that's The Offspring too I believe, off of their first, self-titled album in...'89 was it? Anyways, that's also the first track off one of their cd's. And oddly enough, "Blackball" (a song from this album) was on one of the THPS games soundtracks for the ps2 just recently, who would have thought, a 14 year old song! Anyways here's mine--
The band is broke up, the song is called -- "Maria"

lol, not what I was thinking of. Here's some more clues - the band was formed in Los Angeles, they were highly political, talking about Thich Chan Hy's self immolation (that's the monk that set himself on fire) and the LA riots in the 90's when the black guy got beat or something, I was only 5 or so. Oh, and only the lead singer left, a new singer came in for them to make a new band, I don't wanna say which though, might give it away.
