Can anyone tell me why there is the 'world' series when only american teams can play...

And why American football is called that when you use your hands for pretty much all of it and then call football soccer when you use your feet for it?

I always wondered the same thing. I think they call it the World Series because they have player's from all over the world playing in the MLB.

The reason it is called the World Series is because everyone else in the world is playing soccer, so we just call it that because we think nobody else really cares about baseball.

nah they dont like just baseball, more like baseball,basketball,football,hockey
now Canadians (like me) only like one sport and stick to it its called HOCKEY YAAA!

Anyone see the Molsen Canadian comercials? The one with every one singing that song "Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry?", and ends with "Hockey, please come back". Probably the best comercial I've seen all year. I wish it would come back. Hockey is the only sport I've ever seen worth watching.
