/invite MFGBot #MFG

Just like that. MFGBot is set to rejoin channel when kicked, but that function of mIRC doesn't work if the kicker is yourself, but if you type what I put above there that works since I have also set him to auto-join channel on invite. Also, this is my first post on MFG5, woo.

Reminder: if anyone needs any kind of help with IRC whether it's not being able to download it, trouble connecting, whatever, just shoot me a PM / IM ... I'd consider myself an IRC pro so there's a big chance I'll be able to help ya out.

I'm in..but I'm the only one in there. Not even the bot lol. So I don't think it's working right. Can't invite the bot.

I have important news, so everybody read this post.

I have bitched before about AmCool, but now I've had enough. The bad connections, the nosey admins and bots, the bad quit message syntax, the inability to be able to say the phrase "fuck you" even if you have ownership of a channel, the constant disconnects and ping timeouts... to put it plainly, AmCool is a really shitty server. Do not connect to AmCool anymore, I have finally moved servers.

The new server is located at irc.magicstar.net and channel #MFG ... this new server I connected to on my first time without any reconnects~~, and it has "anime" in the server name which makes more sense~~

Connect to the new server and let me know what you guys think.

vvvvv Sorry if I wasn't clear on how to connect, I edited it to put it in the first post but I might as well put it here too.

1) Go to mIRC: Internet Relay Chat client and download mIRC.

2) Run mIRC.exe and fill out the username forms and such, pretty straightforward.

3) Click on the window, once, and type /server irc.magicstar.net

4) Wait for the text to stop scrolling, then type /join #MFG

5) Another window should popup, so just start talking.

Can you show me how to switch servers? Cause I really don't get how... <__<

EDIT: Never mind... I got it.. but I dunno maybe you wanna explain for the newbies who want to join us? =D

1. download mirc or another irc client. I use chatzilla, a firefox addon.

2. start program, type in /server irc.immortal-anime.net

3. wait until all the text passes, then type /join #MFG

As most of you know -- since you're good boys and girls and actually read the topic in IRC -- we have switched servers... again.

I was having too many ping timeout problems with the bot on immortal-anime, so I have switched to MagicStar. I don't know how many more times we're going to switch servers, but hopefully this one will do us for now. I have updated my post three posts above from this one, and as well as the first post in the thread.
