Listen dude, if it was you or anybody else I would have done the same. Get off your excuses as it was personal whether you like it or not, its a fact. We shouldn't have to be afraid because our picture gets ridiculed then someones says "It wasn't personal" as if they saved their ass from this. If you've got something to say you might as well go ahead and say it.
