But yeah, I say don't buy it. Rent it. I rented a PS2 before, forgot where though. If it's possible, but don't waste your money. The Wii... sorta sucks.

I have it and I enjoy it a lot. I almost never play it alone considering my Xbox 360 takes up my alone gaming time. however when friends come over the Xbox doesn't seem to exist. So it's great for parties and entertaining friends/guests.

Lol you must be rich. So many games. Ofc you won't be bored with a Wii lol. I only have Budekai Tenkaichi 3 and after thinking a while. Punk - s You should get it, but what I wanted to say it's not THAAAAAAAAAAT BIG OF OMFG OMFG WII OWNZORS. No. If you go by that. You'll enjoy buying A Wii.

I have about 4-5 games for my Wii and RE4 has receved the most playtime. Had I not beaten it on the GC and PS2, it woulda been played MUCH longer. AKA A game I had run into the ground twice before recieved more playtime than SSBB.

Please note, Sub Space Emesary does NOT count as Gameplay because it felt like work.

If you consider him Rich than I have no idea what to say to that other than I'm sure he's not. You can get a game once every 2-3 weeks on any normal job with some simple planning.

Exactly! I buy a new game maybe 2 - 3 times the most a month. Wii has been out a while and I have about 15 games for it. PLUS the games are on 29.99 or 39.99 unless it's a major title than it's 49.99.

I wouldn't. I regret buying a Wii every day of my life. I wish I used that money and saved up a bit for a PS3.

First of all Graphics are basically on par with the Gamecube.. Not improved at all. Unlike Xbox 360 and PS3 the Wii has crappy selection for games and nothing to look forward to. I also find the online play capabilities very complicated and difficult. Small hard drive. Can't play DVDs/Music. I wouldn't even call this a next gen console when it's missing so many 'next gen' traits.

The only positive things about this console is that it has free online gaming, cheapest next gen console and it's 'fun for the whole family'.

Go 360 and PS3!

The Wii is a first party system. Aside from Mario, Zelda and the like, Nintendo doesn't really have anything to offer.

Yeah, the money thing isn't really a huge issue for me. I don't mind dropping some cash on a system that my girlfriend wants so that's fine. I already have a ps3 so I don't care much about saving up for that. Bonus is that when we do have people over that want a laugh or a quick play then we can do that, My mind still isn't totally made up but I'm more leaning towards getting it. I don't care much if it sits idle for a couple months on end, I'd probably still return to it. Plus Legend of Zelda is always a big freaking bonus, I'm sure I'll have fun playing that game over and over.

By all means still try to talk me out of it, but, you know ... whatever.

Why don't one of you people whining about it collecting dust send me yours, then? I've wanted one for ages, but they're impossible to find unless you pay extra to some scalper asshole. Needless to say, we're not exactly financially stable at the moment.

That said, I vote go for a Wii, if nothing else but for Brawl, Zelda and Mario Kart.

Is the Wii actually worth it? The only game I could see getting for it is Brawl. You can get Zelda with the much cheaper Gamecube and Galaxy, from what I've seen, really isn't worth much. Mario Kart might be interesting but that's like what? Two games. Kinda depends on the cost though, if the Wii's dropped in price recently, I'd say it's probably worth it.
