The Official Playstation thread.

With the dawn of a new era here, I thought I would go ahead and make a Playstation thread, seeing as Nintendo has already got one, I figured the Playstation could have its own too.
To get things under way, who here has a Playstation 3? And if you do, what do you think of it? Such as the type of games, controllers, addons, ectera?
I, for one, do not have an extra $600 laying around my house to get one, but I'm going to wait until it gets around $300-$400 before I even think about getting it. Or I may just wait the 3-4 years and get a Mini-Playstation 3 because we all know they're going to make one seeing as they did for Playstation and Playstation 2. Another thing that is keeping me from getting one besides the amount of the system, is the games are going for $60 and the controllers are going for $50 (when I thought $24.99 was bad for a Playstation 2 controller).
So, here it is once again, a new (and maybe improved) Playstation thread. Feel free to talk about any of the Playstation systems in here, it doesn't have to be just the Playstation 3.

Well i don't know about the PS3 but there are still a lot of good games for the PS2. I still have to get Bully and beat Star Ocean and Dragonquest 8... and drakengaurd and drakengaurd 2 and Xenosaga and Ace Combate 5 and holy crap there are a lot of games i have to beat...

I want a PS3, but no way in hell I'm paying $600 (not including games and memory cards and controllers) for a damn system.

What?, I'm damn sure that the PS3 don't need memory cards, It has a internal hard drive rember? And it must come with at least one controler I think [unsure]. And games well i mean theres more things you can do with it than play games, but its a play station so yes i think ya might wanna play games on it,. But I agree the prices for all things too do with the PS3 is idiotic

It will probably have memory cards because even though it can save game
data to the system, you wouldn't want your actual system running slow
and possibly failing you because it may eventually be loaded down with
save data.



So for game saves, you're bound to use a memory card like an external
hard drive, just so make sure all your porn you saved doesn't make your
online games lag.

I doubt many people will buy memory cards, as they can just monitor their memory making sure they delete things they get bored of and put new things on. But yeah, like a PC, I'm sure external hard drives will be made available. But damn they will cost a lot (too much).
However I think rhere is still a chance that many memory cards will be sold, especially since there is a high percentage of people out there that possess or are willing to possess porn. >.>

Why do you try so hard to prove that Sony phailz? So what if the SNES out sells the PS3. Christmas just passed and i doubt people got 600-700 bucks for a PS3, but wait till the summer then the sales will go way up.

Do I really try so hard? Its a Machine based off Hardware and Graphics's, This was not the case for the first couple of of Systems generations, sure they improved each systems as the years went on but were they based off of this no, Games are what make a Vidoe game system not Blue Ray, Im almost happy to say my system the Wii cant Play CD's because Nintendo decides instead of making the Wii have more hardware they added more ways to play games.
As of right now Sony is faulting in the VG world http://gonintendo.com/wp-content/photos/eb_games_flyer_funny.jpg If you look at that it shows what I mean the PSP is much more powerful than the DS but which does better in sells and better games? Sony's new systems focus all on Graphics's, Blue Ray, Hardware, connecting to other devices. While Nintendo made a Video Game system not a Entertainment system, there's a difference. I'll close with this when's your next good exclusive game coming out, its Lair which comes out in May. We have Sonic, Prince of Persia, SSX Blur and not to mention Virtual Console games. Thats why I always am saying the PS3 sucks becuase its not for Video games, its for Gragic's and the DS and Zelda shows Game Play beats Graphics's Every time.

But buy what you want, I just wanted to show you how much people love the PS3 if it is get out sold by a system made over 10 years ago.

If it weren't about graphics, Zelda wouldn't have been updated with
almost every game to a new system of graphics. If graphics did not
matter, Zelda would still be the same as the original Zelda (which they
aren't). Good gameplay is an opinion, anyway. You can't really put it
out as a fact because somebody else could like shitty games (FF13).
