In my opinion, a great quaterback is someone who can make his team have a chance no matter how shitty their team is. Even when the packers were a bad team, they had a chance of winning JUST because of Favre, and I think the same goes for Peyton Manning. I think Brady is good, but overrated. If he was on a truly bad team, he would not be able to make it so they have a chance every game. But thats just my opinion

No, the team changed quite a bit, actually, and just because a team was 0-2, doesn't mean they wouldn't have a good season. Don't get me wrong, Brady is good, but put him on the raiders? team improves but doesn't get to the point of a good team, however I think manning or favre ( at least a few years ago) and they would make the raiders interesting to watch, just because they would make it POSSIBLE every game that they might win. Once again, can't prove this, just my opinion

so basically your trying to say if the patriots still had drew bledsoe they would still b as good as they are now?
have u seen the TD's thrown by him this year? flawless and precise. a quarterback can change everything about the game... all it take is one good play or one bad play....and it so happens that brady has made plenty of good plays this year...thats what made there season maybe the best. he threw the ball in the right places and basically destroyed almost every secondary he played

its not luck when you do it again the next year.... luck has nothing to do with he, he rose to the challenge and showed the world he is truly great.

I guess all time fave... Bart Starr. Past, present, and future. Currently, I'm partial to Adrian Peterson. But so is everyone else who even watches NFL. Actually. I'm a huge supporter of Jeff Garcia.

Are you trying to say that Brady isn't a great quarterback? That claim is redicules. Tom Brady's first season with the Patriots was far from "good luck." Year after year Brady has proven that he is an amazing quarterback. In the 2001 season he brought the Patriots from nothing special to Super Bowl champions. Bledsoe never would have been able to lead the team that far (let alone to the playoffs). Brady has a great arm, great pocket presence, and great team leadership. There is no quarterback in the history of football (with the exception maybe of John Elway) that I would rather have leading the team with two minutes left in the fourth quarter. Of course Brady isn't the only reason (far from it in fact) the Patriots won three out of four Super Bowls, but he is definitely a major one. Look at the Patriots in 2006, Brady had no break out wide receivers, yet he was still able to lead the team to the AFC championship game. Had it not been for the Patriots falling apart in the second half he most likely would have lead the team to another Super Bowl championship as well. Like him or not, Tom Brady is one of, if not the best quarterback in the NFL today.

Ok, first of all, Bledsoe did in fact lead his team to the super bowl (when they lost to the packers) and that team was in fact horrible, and he did it pretty much by himself, in my opinion. Secondly, I'm not denying Brady is a good quaterback ( I think I've said this like 3 times already) but he is overrated. You put Peyton or Favre on the patriots and they do as good or better. Favre always gave his team a chance, and Peyton lead a badly injured team to the playoffs this year. I honestly believe that any good quaterback could have lead the patriots to be as good in the past few years as brady has. He is a very good quaterback on a very great team.

Yeah, right.
The '96 team had a far better defense. They had an All-Pro pass catcher in Ben Coates. Bledsoe was protected by multi-time ProBowler Bruce Armstrong. Rookie WR Terry Glenn broke the all-time rookie record for pass receptions. And they had a future HOF running back named Curtis Martin. But, Bledsoe did it all by himself.... The 2000 and 2001 teams were not the 1996 team, by any stretch of the imagination. And Tom Brady NEVER had a Donald Driver, or a Marvin Harrison, or Reggie Wayne to throw to. Without his All-Pro offense, Manning doesn't do much. He throws 6 picks, like he did against San Diego. Brady has done more with less support than any of those guys. |
