Did you guys hear that Brett Favre retired. I hope no one else said it.
I'm a die-hard cowboys fan. My favorite running back is LT though. 2. Marion Barber. 3. Adrian Peterson My favorite Quarterbacks: 1. Tony Romo 2. Vince Young 3. Peyton Manning

Best RB?
All-time would be Barry Sanders. Duh. Best right now would be Tomlinson. Alternate-reality: that would be where the homer fanboys are right, and all of their various teams' backs are great. Too bad they aren't. Most teams have sh*tty tailbacks. |

I thought we were talkin about current running backs. If its all time Emmitt Smith hands down. I heard Brett retired, that sucks. He will prob go down as one of the best all time quarterbacks to ever play. He should already be in the hall of fame, but it will take 5 years.

QB?
Favre will get into the HOF, but I wouldn't put him as one of the very top guys. All those career stats are just a by-product of playing forever. They tend to pile up over 16 years. Guys like Montana, Young, Brady, Manning, and Elway are the absolute best. |

Im not talkin about stats. I'm talking about he stayed a elite quarterback his entire career. 17 years of playing through just about everything, that those guys listed above never had to play through. Montana and Young were a product of a great team, Brady is a great quarterback but a bit of a cocky ass. Manning is great, but so is his offense. Elway was awesome, he ran his team. I see Aikman was not added to your list, I believe he were better than most of those above.

i used to HATE him but then you can truly appreciate what he's accomplished. he took a smaller pay so the patriots can get better talent hes truly the ideal quarterback and theres no one like him

And it's a popular myth that Montana was carried by the greatness of the 49ers, to begin with. He was drafted to a 3-13 team! In other words, his team sucked. It improved when he stepped into the lineup. It got better when Jerry Rice arrived....after Montana already had two rings without him. Aikman was good, but he was just there to not get in the way. His production was "meh", at best. He wasn't the focus of his team, and he didn't take the team on his back. His job was to hand the ball off, mostly. Just like Brad Johnson. |

Whoa... whoa whoa. Brady has never took a pay cut. Brady is one of the highest paid player in the NFL. He had a 100 million dollar contract. That doesn't look like a pay cut to me. Oh I love to watch brady play, don't get me wrong. He is just a cocky ass hole. After the super bowl he didnt shake the hand of not one player he walked off the field. Thats not a GREAT QB to me.

The new season is looking like it'll be pretty much the same as the last one.
There were only four ProBowl-type free agents to leave their teams. The rest of the player movement is just plugging in new scrubs to replace old scrubs. So, the teams are pretty much the same. It'll be up to how the draft goes to really change anything. |

Favre will be included in the top five quarterbacks of all time. Regardless of stats and how long was actually in league, Favre was a playmaker. He became a Monday Night Football legend with at least one great play every night.
