Is Rock N' Roll Dieing?

I think it is. Im not an expert or anything of the sort , but just in my opinion i think that Rock N' Roll is dieing. Its hard to say it but it is. I have yet to here a good Rock band since the late 90's.

I'd like to hear what you guys think. I hope im not the only one...

umm no it is still alive

there is still alot of rock of bands out there.
Too many for me to name now.
or are we talking about rock and roll, being different than rock music?

Yeah. Im talking about rock n roll like bands of the 60's - 90's. Not like grudge metal stuff... where they scream.

Rock and Roll is dying because people have lost their senses and are moving to Rap for some reason.

Not to mention that you have to swear so much in order to be officially counted as Rock anymore.

Eddies son Wolfgang is the bassist for Van Halen now so i would think he would continue to keep Van Halen Going. Even if they all die we just need people who can devot and can keep Rock n' Roll alive. Im just pissed that people concider groups like Fall out Boy to be the new face of rock... thats what really gets to me.

Agreed. It is a problem that will lead to the self-destruction of rock.

I've seen Wolfgang in concert(January this year for Eddie's birthday ^_^) and he is not a great as people claim. Though he does get my props because he is keeping up with his father.

And unfortunately, emos are taking over what foundations we heavy rockers once had.

I dont understand rap... i think anyone can talk to music but it takes talent to sing to music. Thats my only beef with rap.

IMO, everything in rap is the same; just have to put in a different percussion instrument to make a new song.

There's alot more to rap than just "talking."

The ones that "talk" to the music aren't good rap anyway.

Edit: Eliwood, I could say the same thing about rock. Alot of it just sounds like drums and guitars to me. =/
