Nah, meant that the other band that stood out when I looked at it.
I was thinking of heading in, but didn't end up doing so. Sounds like it was a decent gathering though. |

Though if you added an "e" to rap, it'd be almost the same thing. That's what rap did to music, I believe.
Also, you cannot spell slaughter without laughter.

I look back at old school rap and even some of the gangsta rap of the early-mid nineties and see a lot more self-expression and lyrics leaning toward the political and social issues of the world. This is the stuff I listen too, because it has a lot more meaning then the formulaic "I GET MAD HOEZ NIGGA AND I KILL ALL DEM NIGGAZ WHO FUCK WITH ME NIGGA" shit of today.

That's what I always say. I like to put the "c" in front of rap in parenthesis whenever I write it out - (c)rap.

The only (c)rap I like, and I don't even know if it can be considered rap, is Weird Al. His song "Amish Paradise" is hilarious.

So, basically you like Daft Punk... not rap, electron.
Old school rap, I can listen to, not todays stuff. Sure enough they have one or two catchy chorus' (get low, crank that) but are quickly forgotten and replaced by the next catchy chorus without any real point. |

I've never been a fan of Rap, the older style Rap isn't that bad, but the newer stuff is something I'd like to piss on. Even though it was inventive, Tim McGraw doing that thing with Nelly was just wrong. (Country+Rap=Crap)
Of course there are some rap songs that I don't mind, but most of the ones that I like actually go into the R&B or Reggae genre. Hip Hop is my issue, that's the genre where they talk about "b*tches" and "Ho's", "N***a", crap like that. It's lucky to even be labled as a music genre. I don't mind most country. Johnny Cash is one of my favorite artists. ("A Boy named Sue", awesome song ;)). Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Trace Adkins, Randy Travis, Tim McGraw (his older stuff, his new stuff is crap), Gary Allen, love them all. <3 However, my favorite music is rock and metal.

Country is good to me, so is rock and metal, and instrumental.
Genres I can't stand:
